Ok, this will be my last post today, I swear! (Seems I’m in a posting frenzy or something. Yikes!)
But, I had to share this with the rest of you ring-obsessed gals on the Bee. Because I knew y’all would appreciate it as much as I did. As I mentioned in another thread, I dropped my anniversary ring off today to have a sizing bar put in. While I was in the store, it wasn’t busy so I was chatting with a couple of the owners and one of the sales people. They mentioned they had just gotten in some new sapphire rings, and asked if I wanted to take a look. Uh … yeah! Like I’m ever going to turn that down.
Bees, these rings were amazing. Beautiful, beautiful blue sapphires with different types of diamond settings. And even the metal work on the baskets, while not super detailed or decorative, was graceful and beautiful. I am not generally a fan of halos. I think they are beautiful, and I love seeing them here on WB. But I never thought a halo would be a style I would like to wear. Until today. Because this lovely thing could totally make a believer out of me!
Needless to say, I didn’t even bother looking at the price tag. At a glance, I could tell it was pretty much out of my league, price-wise. But it was fun to have it on my finger for a little bit. (Well, sort of on my finger. Because my fingers, apparently, are huge.) My DD grabbed a couple of iPad pics.

Aw, thanks! (RE: the nail color) I’ve been longing for the brighter, more “spring” shades recently. This one is Essie “Bachelorette Party”. I picked it up on a whim at Target a couple of days ago.
This ring is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen in person. It was a treat just to get to look at it and see it on my finger.
I thought the sapphire was amazing, too. It had such a beautiful blue color to it. I know I’ll be visiting these pictures over and over again in the coming days, just to drool and dream. Ha, ha!
I thought it was gorgeous, too. Truly, all the sapphires in the rings he showed me were just as beautiful. This particular one just jumped out enough at me that I was like: “I must see this on my finger!”
Me, too! I’ve never seen a sapphire with such a pretty blue color before. Usually, they seem really dark to me. (Not that I don’t love that, too — ‘cuz I do!) This one, though, was sort of darkish, but in a moody way. Like it was glowing from inside.
Isn’t it beautiful? Maybe for my 50th wedding anniversary; I should start saving up now — ha, ha! Or next year, if I win the lottery!
