My original ering, I literally always got “Oh, that’s cute”. It was so annoying. Now that I’ve upgraded, the most common comment is “It’s huge”, which I also find extremely odd, as it’s only slightly over 1 ct, and that’s average for my circle. Even my recently married friend told my DH it’s “huge, good job”, when her’s is almost identical in size. I think people just don’t know what to say about rings, so it generally comes out awkward.

Usually “It’s cute!!” … Hey it’s small but not teeny tiny! I don’t know, I just don’t like the word cute when talking about things like that. Also I am called cute all the time (I am tiny) So I don’t like it when people call me that either lol.

Thank you for your kind words!
I like bling as much as the next girl (possibly more) but there’s something so enticing about a diamond with glass-like clarity… (shameless ring-porn below)

“OHHHHH I LOVE your ring! Is it vintage?”

I get a lot of ‘thats different’ I think its because where I am from EVERYBODY has a round diamond, so to see a princess cut people are shocked.
I also get a lot of ‘thats big, is it real?’ RUDEEE!!!

I really love your ring! That pink is amazing.
I don’t know why I feel I haven’t seen your ring before (I’m sure I have) but I really love the thick bands. It is really amazing.
I get a lot of “your ring is gorgeous” “he did good” and “that is huge” comments mostly. People are often coming up to me to comment on my ring and some want to touch it or move it around on my finger….not cool. I appreciate their compliments but do they really need to oogle with their hands?

Beautiful rings ladies 🙂 Fiance and my family love my ring, but the rest of the world has mixed reviews.
I once had a lady ask me why I had picked something so “morbid” and hopefully my marriage wouldnt be doomed from the start. Umm… Really lady?
My aunt’s friend asked me why it was a black diamond as she rolled her eyes and then said “the wedding band will be white, right?” SIGH. Others just tell me its “so cool, and so different”. Well I love my ring and how its simply so me, that is all that matters!

When I worked at the mall I had a lot of people say ‘wow that is so sparkly can I get a closer look’ then they’d tell me how lucky I was to find a man with such good taste. I wasn’t complaining, made my days at that horrible job way better. I never told anyone I picked out my own ring.

“He did good” is the most common comment I’ve received. Others are that it’s classic, huge, sparkly.

How does that work? Why did you want a sapphire? Why dont you wear a band on each side?
