Why is this happening now? Did he tell you he has been meeting with Lawyers or is this a surprise? I know you discussed drawing up a pre-nup but he should have told you ‘hey honey, I’m meeting my lawyers tonight, how are you coming along with your side of the agreement?”. You needed to have met with his lawyers and vice versa a very long time before the wedding. This is just him trying to get one over you. What a slippery silmy way to act. You are not a business or competition you are supposed to be his partner and the love of his life.

Also, you have to represent yourself in his prenup? How is that fair? Are you a hot shot Lawyer? If not then this is very unfair grounds.

I am also pro prenup but I am a fair person too and this is not fair or right. It is extremely one sided and very selfish.

I would seriously reconsider marrying someone who thinks this is ok.

TO bumbleb922:  Thanks for the UPDATE (Reply # 56)

Good to hear that things worked out in the end (can’t say I’m that surprised to find out that the Lawyer screwed up).  HAPPY tho to hear that it wasn’t your Fiance’s fault or that he was being a dick-head… ya I bet he went sheet white when he found out that the document was really “sticking it to ya”

Best Wishes for a great Wedding Day this weekend !!
