I knew it was coming- obviously we were planning a wedding already- but it came tonight and I couldn’t feel more ‘surprised’. The moment truly overwhelms. We were at this gorgeous restaurant in the heart of the city, and are talking about how long but rewarding the relationship has been (we have had an LDR for over 5 years), and he suddenly brings out a red box and goes down on one knee, and popped the question. It was a magical moment!!!
I said yes to my best friend and I couldn’t have asked for anything else.
Now can someone please teach me how to take amazing ring pictures??? I am truly confused.

Congratulations, your ring is beautiful! You’re wearing it on your middle finger, what is the significance (culture/religion etc)? Just curious, if you don’t mind sharing.

Thank you all. I’m grateful .It’s still so surreal.
caitlinbee : Where in from (Nigeria), we don’t move it to the ring finger until after we’ve been wed. While we’re engaged, it is middle finger.

Folake : Thank you for sharing!
I’m Middle Eastern and we wear our engagement ring and wedding band on our right ring finger, the men wear their bands on the left ring finger as well until we are married, then we move it to our left ring fingers.
I love learning about other cultures 🙂
