Well my search continued this weekend. I’ve been desperately searching for the Mori Lee 3078 but nobody seems to have it. I thought it would be exactly what I was looking for. (pic below) One salon was nice enough to email me the list of Mori’s they had in stock. There were a couple that I thought I’d give a try. The last one I tried I figured I would not like as it was very plain and the bodice cut straight across rather than the diagonal that I liked so much BUT I actually really liked it – minus the flower (see below- model not me sorry 🙂 my question is do you think it’s too plain? I was so surprised that it was so flattering and the consultant thought it was the most flattering as well. I of course can add some beading or a broach if I want but scared of how that will turn out. I discovered today that I LOVE the fuller skirt with pick ups and now no longer like a couple of my previous favorites.
The only problem now is after looking at Mori Lee’s site I found a new one I want to locate!! It just doesn’t end!

haha you are funny!! I understand what you are going through. I did buy my dress, but now I am thinking…hmmm…do I really love it??? I wish I would of kept looking! The one I got is a lot like the 2nd one you posted, however I don’t have any idea who the designer is…is that bad??

They’re all pretty! I think the 2nd one could be very flattering and you could add a sash or something for some bling.
I would not add a sash to the second one since there is that flower on the side that is just too much going on.
I love the second one too

You are so cute! i loved reading your post. I say if you are not completely satisfied yet, keep looking. Wait until you don’t want to look at any other dresses, then you’ll know you have found the dress that’s perfect for you.

The second one is gorgeous!

@melissabug22: Melissa, it of course is not bad that you don’t know the designer but I wish you DID know as, I’d love to see a pic. Then again maybe that’s a bad idea I might find myself with yet another I’d want to try 🙂
@MrsCoachBtoBee: Thank you- I’m personally not a fan of the sash but I would love me some bling 🙂
@Klb5882: Thank you and I agree it would be too much- the great news is the flower is removable and I would definetely not include it if I should order this dress. There is one on the back as well and I’m just not a fan of either of them.
@tiny tuna: Thanks for sharing your opinion- this is SO hard and I need all the help I can get.
@SandAndSea: You must be the only one that thinks my indecisiveness or perhaps OCD is cute but I do thank you for that it made me smile 🙂 I am definetely not completely done looking because I have found now that I thought I really liked certain dresses but now after trying them on again in comparison to others I don’t like them so much. I do find that I keep looking at the #2 pic and I do think it’s very pretty. ugghhh 🙂
@corals: THANK YOU! I think I need to remember that sometimes less is more and just because it’s not all blinged out doesn’t mean it can’t be amazing.

I’m very indecisive as well, that’s probably why i think it’s cute. If you are anything like me, it’ll happen out of no where and you’ll just know, when it’s right. You might try on a new dress or just be sitting on the couch and have that oh my goodness, that’s it! moment.

I think its fine that you want to try on another dress. If you’re not sure, you’re not sure. I will give you my opinion though. I like the first dress the least out of the 3. I also like the 2 the most.I actully like the flower on the second dress! I like that both the 2nd and 3 dress have a very clean and modern asthetic to it. The first seems a bit busy, and cluttered In My Humble Opinion.
Get the dress that YOU love, and if that means you have to try on a few more, then DO it! Have you thought about trying on other silouhettes? If there’s anything I’ve leared from SY2TD, its that “sometimes what we think we want and what we really look stunning in, isn’t the same.”

I think that #2 is the prettiest. And if it was the most flattering on you, you might want to go with your gut. You could always add bling in your jewelry. With that neckline, large chandalier earrings, and a necklace would work.
Isn’t it funny the way you can fall for a dress…I wanted plain, and ended up with lace and silver beading…funny how when you start trying on your vision can completely change. 🙂

Oh I love all you guys!!! I have definetely kept an open mind when trying on dresses. If a consultant suggests one I always go for it (other than ball gown). I have just found that the majority of the ones that looked flattering on me were dropped waist with diagonal rouching or pleating (more so rouching). SO I just thought I needed to search for just that but like you guys said sometimes its the one we don’t expect that gets us.
I’m not certain about anything at this point but I’m glad I was shown a dress out of my norm as a new option. I’m also really thankful for getting everyone’s opinion. I love that everyone loves #2, it proves to me that I don’t need a lot of sparkle 🙂
