the new design is pretty, it just needs some tweaks.

I miss having all of the links at the top of the page – it would at least help if the top navigation had dropdown menus so I don’t have to go to a separate page to see all of the boards.

ALL of my messages are marked as unread, and there is no way to delete them all in one go (you can only delete all messages on one page at a time). there is no option to mark them as unread if you want to keep them. so I have this alert bubble at the top of my screen that says I have 400 new messages, and my choices are to delete them all or open each one.

I just tried to edit this post and all of my paragraphs got lumped together into one, I just had to manually break them.

also, while I am totally fine with ads on free websites, I absolutely can’t stand it when they float or move around as I use a website. the ad on the right bar that’s following my scrolling is driving me crazy.

I miss the old WB.  This new interface looks so confusing.

Oh, I just went on another forum and my headache went away. And I could easily distinguish between the posts! I really realize the poorly executed bits of this redesign once I go on other forums.

I know this must have been a ton of work, but I’m not a fan.  There’s too much white on the page, its glaring.  And I actually liked the wedding date/EDD date at the top of each post – I’d rather that than someone’s post count, actually.  I wish there was a ‘last comment’ feature – to jump to the latest comment on long threads.  And the OP boxes were a fantastic idea, I wish they had made it through this transition.

I find it clunky to navigate and difficult on the eyes.  It looks ‘cleaner’, I think its just too white.  And I also really liked the #’d posts in a thread.

The ‘select all’ in the messages just selects all on that page (so 10).  It’s super frustrating to try to delete all the old messages that now look like new ones due to the new message indicator icon.

IMO, its not better, just different.

So far I think it’s going to take some getting used to, like anything new.  I do wish that on the front page of Boards it showed you which topic the thread is from.

I know they said there are still bugs and adjustments to be made, so I’ll see how it goes.

This new layout is so not user friendly, when the whole purpose of an online forum is for USERS to interact. Ugh Ugh Ugh.

Like a PP said, it looks like one giant blog post.

I have to hit back button repeatedly just to access the ridiculously set-up navigation to view the other topics.  All of the replies in threads jumble together. anddd I had to reset my pw just to log in.  The OP box is gone, making it hard to connect with the OP.

bees: check your uploaded images. are they gone? mine are! I even just tried googling “nerdybird” + “weddingbee” and I can’t find them there either. I only see images I linked to, but not uploaded ones.

(BTW: hating the “this comment was modified” note. it’s huge and just adds clutter.)

I like the new site. The white is a little stark and maybe that can be changed, but otherwise I think the new look is nice. The old boards were kind of antiquated looking from a design standpoint.

Sure it could use a few tweaks and some fixes but that will likely come in time. Cut them some slack and realize that this design has only been released for less than 24 hours. I think WB should have polled the userbase first but what is is what is.

I can’t jump between pages easily on the phone nor see the number of posts in the thread, which makes me very unhappy. It’s better than on my iPad where I can’t see the boards AT ALL. I am very unhappy about that. I may have to stop coming on this site because the phone bit isn’t jiving for me, the tablet is non functional and I rarely am on a PC other than at work and I don’t want to be on this site on my work PC (although I signed in today to post my feelings on the site).

I don’t like that the colours are gone, I really was working towards getting a deeper colour. I wish I could see people’s locations/wedding dates. The related topics are way, way too big and not obvious enough – as I am writing a reply here I can’t see anything about the thread that I was posting on in the first place. I also don’t like how much the ‘related topics’ change: sometimes if I see a related post I want to click on, I don’t want to interrupt the thread I am reading first. Now I have to click on it sooner rather than when I want to, because it may change to a different ‘related topic’.

Everything feels smooshed in from the sides.  It doesn’t use the full screen on a PC, the columns on the phone are way too squished in from the sides and it makes it annoying/hard to read.

I miss having the old organization that I could choose from, and knowing what section each post was in.

Wouldn’t this be nicer? These are actually not huge changes from a coding standpoint, the main thing bringing back the former navigation (which I’m sure has been saved somewhere)…

I don’t like it at all, it’s very much difficult to navigate, and honestly feels like a copy of… another wedding site.

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for weighing in on the new site! Before I say anything, I will say that a lot of you are saying “I know this has already been said, but….” – We think it’s important for each and every one of you that has an opinion to state it, even if it’s been covered and said over and over. This helps us to come up with a priority list of sorts as to what to fix, what to change, and what to further develop. So thank you to each and every one of you for taking the time to lay out your explicit wishes, desires, loathes, and loves!

There are a lot of “old” features that didn’t carry over to this new site in this first phase of roll out that we ARE working on and planning on bringing back. (I know, sorry to be really lame here but I can’t say which ones specifically, but once we sit down and have a meeting about it, I can report back on the features that you should expect back!) – When the site was rebuilt, we weren’t taking the old site and changing/building upon it – we started from scratch (because we had to build 3 new sites – Desktop, Mobile, Tablet) and it didn’t make sense to start with a 9 year old site and work around it.

Please continue to leave your feedback on the site here with us (even better, use and VOTE in the new ideas section: http://weddingbee.uservoice.com/forums/241844-submit-your-idea for what you really want to see!), and we’re working behind the scenes on future roll outs to continue to make improvements! We’re in FIXALLTHEBUGS mode now, and will shortly move into improvements phase 🙂

PLEASE NOTE: In the ideas section, if you’re submitting a new idea, try to just submit one idea per idea. (Submit as many as you want, though!) rather than a laundry list of ideas to make it easier for you and for us to see what individual ideas are most important to you!

Thank you again for all your feedback! We’re super excited to move into this next phase of Weddingbee, and more importantly bring you (and bring back) features that positively impacted your experience here on Weddingbee! 🙂

I do not like this, for both PC and mobile. The white is difficult to read. I don’t like how the posts are listed now on the boards page (with the discription/first part of the post/first picture in the post). It makes it really difficult to find what post I want to read because it just looks like a wall of text to me. Google spell check does not seem to work. On mobile, 1/3 to 1/2 of my screen is user icons/pictures, which I don’t really care about (I mostly just use the name of the poster). It also seems that on mobile, I have to load more pages because less posts per page are displayed. It also now takes forever to load! I also don’t like how now there are the google cache ads that are tailored to you based on what you google search for. It makes the website seem cheap to me. I know there needs to be ads, but I would prefer them to be site specific. I also miss the green outline around the OP responses. It made things so much easier!
