We go to social ballroom dancing classes on a Friday night. We’re always a very affectionate couple and my Fiance had done so well tonight (he’s dyspraxic so it takes a lot more for him to learn the steps) that I was snuggling up to him and kissing him as the class concluded.
A lady from the next class came up to us as we were changing back into our street shoes and said that she’d seen us through the window in the door and that she’d said to her husband that she’d never seen a couple so much in love.
We’ve had a really rough week with family issues, so to hear something like that has really made me feel better.
What is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to you or about you as a couple?

@SpecialSundae: that is so nice.
we will never forget this…we were in a mall one day and it wasn’t very busy. we were walking hand in hand and enjoying each other’s company. we walked into a department store and the stopped at the cosmetics counter. while making our purchase, the salesgirl was smiling at us and asked how long we’ve been together. i asked why she asked. she replied that she could see how much in love we were. we had only been dating for 3-4 weeks.

@SpecialSundae: I agree that’s so sweet.
The nicest thing was when his mom found out I was exactly older than Fiance by 6 months. She is older than Fi’s father by 4 months exactly. (Roughly translated) she said, “You and my son are fated to be together just like me and his father.” They have been married happily for over 30 years!

@SpecialSundae: So so sweet! 🙂
When my Fiance and I first started dating, we were getting into the car after dinner and he opened my door for me and gave me a big kiss. There was a lady geting into her car next to us and she said “You better never let that boy go, he is one in a million. I can tell by the look in your eyes that you two were meant for each other”. At the time it was a little creepy but now I look back and realize how true it was. I will never forget that and I am always reminded of how lucky I am!

Fiance and I had been dating for a couple of weeks at the time (but we have known each other since we were in eighth grade). He and I were at a local cafe for dinner, and my friend was stopping by to drop off an essay for me to look over/edit for her college class. She said that when she saw us sitting in the cafe, she stopped and looked through the window at us and stared. She later told me, “The way that he looks at you like you do no wrong makes me believe in love.”
Similarly, when he proposed to me at work (totally unexpected location!), a coworker said, “You should have seen your face when he got down on his knee. That is what TRUE happiness and love looks like.”

That’s so sweet! The other night we were finishing up our premarital counseling and our counselor told us that he has never seen a couple so well prepared for marriage…that he can picture us still together all old and gray. It was sweet!

Our marriage prep couple told us they hope we have 10 kids–and he definitely is not one of those Catholics that thinks everyone should breed like rabbits!

OHHH all these sweet comments kinda bring tears to my eyes! I am just so in love with love! 🙂
The first thing that popped into my mind was after a crazy party at my SO’s house one night…my friend posted ALL these photos she took of everyone…most of them candid. There is one picture where my SO is bent down saying something in my ear, and my head is thrown back in LAUGHTER. Lol I have no idea what it was he said. But I literally got like 100 comments on this pic (we hadn’t been dating very long) with all of our friends saying,
THat’s why love looks like. I’ve never seen you smile so big. etc.
Just the fact that people can SEEEEE it in our faces or in pictures how much we love and adore eachother 🙂 That’s just the best.

Awww, I don’t have any stories to add, I just want to say that these are so sweet!
Our best man keeps calling us a “power couple”. I don’t really know what that means, but I think it’s a compliment. 🙂

A friend of mine told me the other day that she was having a conversation with another mutual friend and they were talking about how they only knew like 2 couples that they knew would be together forever and one was me and Fiance.
I thought that was really sweet. : )

One day in HS, my best friend dropped me off at my house and Fiance was down the street, skating in front of his house. He immediately skated down the street to give me a (sweaty) hug and then went back to skating. She just looked at me while I was still looking at him and she said ‘it’s so crazy’ and I asked what was and she said ‘I can see it on your faces, how much you love each other, I’ve never seen that before.’
And my grandma told me that Fiance and I remind her so much of herself and my grandpa, who have been married forever.
It’s nice to hear things like that from other people. 🙂

I got a really sweet comment from my son of all people. He’s my baby and I love him forever but 14 year old boys are not typically known for sensitivity. Anyway! About a week ago when we were looking at our new apartment, the realty agent referred to my fiance as “your husband”. Later that day, DS and I are in the car and I asked him what he thought of our new place. He says he really likes it and thinks it’s pretty cool but doesn’t get why peope constantly refer to my SO as “my husband.” I said, “Honey, I don’t know. Maybe I have “We’re getting married” written across my forehead and only other people can see it.” My son says, “Actually Mom, I think it’s because you both have Really Happy Couple written across your head.”
I didn’t cry but it was a pretty close call.

@SpecialSundae: That’s so lovely.
A few weeks ago I had a girlfriend over and she’s a fair bit younger than I am. She was telling me about her ex boyfriend and how she had hoped that maybe they would turn out just like us (me and my FI) but that it wasn’t meant to be. I thought it was sweet of her to say. Most of my sweet comments have come from friends wishing they had what we have and his family talking about how perfect we are for each other. Comments like these remind us that we really are blessed.

We have been told several times that we are perfect for each other and that we are a role model couple! LOL Because we get along so well, are madly in love and compasionate. I wouldnt say we are the perfect couple but we do get along VERY well and other people see that 😀
