I’m sorry this has happened to you OP… I feel for you. I didn’t order a dress from China, I just ordered a white ‘beach’ looking dress from a catolog which looked so awful when I got it I could not stand it. Looked NOTHING like the picture! Sorry that was a little rant. Back to you..
I am going to post a web site that is in LA. They are NOT known for wedding dresses, they are more prom dresses and mother of the bride dresses. But, they have many dresses. And they are real people. If you call them on the phone they will talk to you and everything. Many of the dresses come in white or off-white. And the ship anywhere in the US for free I think. I was going to post a picture of the one I was going to get just to give you an idea but they don’t have it anymore. But, they have quite a few white and off-white styles long and short.
Look at this one they have for $188 dollars… I would totally wear that!!
I would wear this one for a wedding from them too…
$ 99.99 United States dollars.
I ended up getting mine from the mall because I didn’t trust the internet catolog thing anymore. I’m very happy with mine now. But, I do think Jessicas fashions is great.

- Wedding: November 2015 - City, State
You’re cutting it awfully close since your dress is only going to be done in a month and your wedding is in November and you have no idea if it’ll still meet your expectations!
If I were you I would cut my losses. Get that dress back from the seamstress ASAP (toss it or try selling it), and not dump another $200 into it and buy a dress online from Preowned or Tradesy. I got 2 perfect condition sample dresses for $400 and $500 each and only minor alterations will need to be done. This was a great solution for me since I didn’t want to spend that much and never considered going the replica route.

Thanks- I thought that was who it might be. I love that dress, but could never do that back. It’s beautiful on you!

Thank you for sharing your experience, it will hopefully deter more brides to steer clear of the ‘too good to be true’ Chinese sites. I have a bridal store and have seen this all too often when the bride comes in needing a dress to replace it. You can easily find a lovely dress ‘off the rack’ and you buy the actual dress you try and love…

Thanks for all the advice bees! At this point I’m so over the whole situation that I don’t even care anymore. I’m especially frustrated that I spent more then I ever intended to on a dress and I really don’t want to spend money on another one! I’m hoping and praying that when I go in for a second fitting at the seamstress it’s at now it’ll be a dress that I at least can live with. I should have posted something when I first got the monstrosity because I was actually in LA and I actually love the dresses that
posted. Uggggg! I’ve just been trying not to think about it too much and my friends have all been telling me that I’ll look beautiful no matter what I wear but your only as beautiful as you feel.

Such a hard situation… Well, if you not happy with your dress when all is said and done give Jessica Fashion a chance. They were very cool when I spoke to them. As I remember they just had to have time to get my size in. It was not a big deal though, they needed like a week. And they do ship anywhere in the US. If you don’t like your dress after all I would sell it to recoup some money.
I forgot to say before that Jessica Fashion does supply other places with dresses. I don’t know all the details on that. But, I did try on a dress at one point that was about $300 dollars that I know Jessica Fashion sent to the store. Then I found it on the Jessica Fashion web site for $100 dollars. For the record is was sewn very well and fit great. I feel all of the dresses at Jessica Fashion would be sewn well.
I feel a need to post this one. The picture is in grey but they have off white. Picture not available in off white…
I love the top one but OP thought you may like this one because its sort of simular to the one you have from China..
Hope you find what makes you happy. I know wedding dress shopping is a pain and stressful. I did not have fun.

You poor thing. What a disaster. I don’t think your dress is bad, but if you don’t put it on and feel like its the most beautiful thing you’ve ever worn then maybe it’s time to cut your losses, chalk this one up as a slightly expensive learning experience and go get a new dress. How long until your wedding?
If you’re hell bent on salvaging this one hopefully your seamstress will be able to sort out the skirt wrinkle issue. Best of luck, keep us updated after the next fitting!!

good luck! how about a white dress from a department store like nordstrom or macys? or even asos, which is an online retailer with free returns.

Got my dress back from the last seamstress! What do you think ladies?
Definitely an improvement! It looks a little long, and I wonder how it looks when you’re standing without your knee forward (if it drapes well). But it’s much better than the previous pic.
I think it looks beautiful! But, do you like it? You went through a long process to get it- hope you enjoy it!

I think the dress you received bears a strkiing resemblance to the dress you ordered! I think it’s a real shame you took away the sleeves and the V neck, to me they were the most attractive features of the dress. Hopefully you are happy now with your dress but it is an entirely different conept from the one you forsaw at the start.
Yours is a cautionary tale for other bees.

If you had paid with a credit card, you can dispute the charges. Submit the supporting pictures and the credit card company will refund you right away and allow the merchant 40 days to dispute the charge back. In this one, the merchant will likely not to dispute. If they do, it goes back to credit card company to decide… They are likely going to side with you and not award the merchant the money back…
Not trying to discourage you… But you really should have let that go when you received the package instead of sinking $ 800 into it… Isn’t that what you had in mind in the beginning, that if it doesn’t turn out right, you are not losing much? And had you disputed the charge back then, you would have lost nothing at all.

I think because of the fabric choice for the bottom it looks a little like lingerie sorry bee 🙁
