I personally am very happy with my choice to buy my dress for $150 from China. It was exactly what I wanted; I hated the $1500 dresses in found in the bridal shops, and the cost made me feel very uncomfortable. I’m only wearing it for 10 hours, so I don’t much care about the quality of the beading as long as it’s comfortable and will look sparkly and pretty in pictures. 😀

I’m just saying, the experiences can be good too.

I’m sorry that happened to you and I agree it might have been the material you choose. I love my dress bough from china for $150. You have to read the reviews of others and make sure other are talking about wedding dresses. Also, ask a lot of questions to the seller before you buy to make sure it is exactly what you want. I had the most trouble picking colors and should have requested swatches. you can do this. Ask and request don’t be afrid it’s your wedding.

It’s an improvement but the question is, do YOU love it or at least like it a lot?? Is that a seam running down the length of the back of the dress? Looks very obvious, maybe just needs pressing.

asapalhaca:  You look beautiful. I’m so sorry your dress didn’t turn out like you wanted but if you are done with the wedding dress search, I don’t blame you. Would it help to focus on the other amazing parts of your wedding? You will have a wonderful, supportive man at your side (he sounds like a keeper based on your first post!). You are going to be celebrating your life together forever, and a dress is just part of that bigger picture.

I am certain that anyone who truly cares about you on the day of your wedding will love you no matter what you wear. You said it yourself – you’re only as beautiful as you feel – so if you “fake it til you make it” I am certain that no one will say bad things about your dress to you. If they say anything like that on your wedding day, I will come over there and punch them in the face.

Have you thought about having a reception dress? Even if you didn’t want to change your wedding dress now, you could always have a different dress for your reception, which doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. 🙂

Edit: Thank you so much for sharing your story. I have always been curious about the gowns that seem too good to be true for the price…
