I love all of the beautiful rings in this post!

I have a somewhat un-traditional ring. It’s an unheated sapphire in a setting my fiance and I designed together, based on several different antique settings I liked. We met working on a coral reef conservation project, living in tents on the beach, so I really wanted a stone the color of the sea, and I wanted a sweet, whimsical setting. I’ve had several people not realize it was even an engagement ring because it’s not a diamond, but I love love love it!

Hooray for not so traditional rings!

Thanks!  We got the engagement ring from onestonenewyork.  We’ll go to a local jeweler for the wedding band.

Oakbubbles, your ring is beautiful!  My favorite color is blue, too.

I’m with marigold! Emshaw: that is so beautiful! What is it? And how did you ever come up with the idea for it?

planning on getting a black titanium ring with a diamond for myself and a plain black titanium ring for the bf…. he’s getting an engagement ring as well as myself because tech I will be the one proposing to him. We are just full of non-traditional. Lol.

I have having mine made right now and am so excited!! Here is a picture of my exact setting but it will be all white gold. The next picture is what it will look like with the stone in the middle. It will also have two yellow sapphire bands that clip in under the setting to sit right next to the Engagement Ring. The creator of the gorgeous creation is amazing. If you would like to know my e-mail is [email protected]. You can e-mail me with any questions. She is amazing and offers payments plans without running your credit. She also does everything in her power to make sure your happy and her prices and really reasonable.

Purplevintagebride, mine is quite similar. It is part heirloom. I used my mother’s center stone and had the rest designed to fit around it. I get a lot of compliments because not too many people have the pear shape.

I already posted mine in the "show your engagement ring" area but since mine is a 1920’s Art Deco dinner ring, I think it counts as a unique engagement ring- I love and collect this particular antique style already! I love it to bits!

My ring is blue topaz my birthstone, my Fiance knew I didn’t want a traditional ring so he got me something more personalized.

Thanks ladies for all the kind words about the ring! I haven’t seen it in person yet (excited squeal), it’s supposed to arrive today then I am waiting for the formal proposal… I’ll take some pictures after I get it on my finger!

ES123 – It’s an amethyst surrounded by 24 diamonds. We went to a local jeweller who I work with quite often through my job and had a look at some gorgeous diamond rings. They were all beautiful but nothing quite fit. I knew I wanted something that was elegant and vintage insprired, and a little unique, like us. One day we happened to be searching etsy for who-knows-what and discovered a great jeweller who made amazing vintage inspired pieces. When we saw this ring we knew it was the one!
