He paid around $13,000 AUD in Dubai. Diamonds are phenomenally cheap out there and he has a jeweller that looks after him very well. It’s a 1.01ct IF D centre stone, side stones are D and E, 0.43 and 0.45 VVS1, I think.

They were all cut specifically for me and it is a hand made 18k rose gold setting.

I have had 2 different valuations here in Australia, one is for around $35,000 AUD, and one is for over $50,000 AUD. I guess it just depends who you go to as valuations aren’t entirely objective.

My ring cost right around $700. It’s 1 ct Moissanite with white gold. He got it from Etsy on sale. 🙂

I think my fiance got lucky, my ring cost around $500, but that was because we were gifted 3 rings by generous family members.  We combined them all, so the cost was just to the jeweller for designing the new ring.  I love it, emeralds are my favourite.

I think my ring cost around $800. It is 14K yellow gold with a 5mm Forever Brilliant moissanite– I think it’s probably 0.5 carat. I’m probably not supposed to know how much it cost, but he let that figure slip a couple days after he proposed!

I’m happy that he didn’t have to spend huge amounts of money to get something beautiful that’s just right for us. We have a modest income, but our priorities aren’t really on jewelry, so this was perfect!

I voted $2,501-$5,000. My ring is $4,500. I just switched it up from a three stone princess to a cushion cut halo. My jeweller (also my cousin) was able to upgrade it for the same price. I can’t wait to see the finished product!!

@Arshim:  Ha, I put around $4,000 3 months ago. However, we ended up spending $2,000 on it. Here’s a picture of the setting. We’re replacing the diamond with a 1.31 ct peach champagne sapphire.
