Just thought this would be something fun to do today for those of you who haven’t tried it before. I have always loved doing the "ring on a necklace trick" with girlfriends over the years, and it always says I am having a girl first, and then a boy. My husband gets the same response.
Here’s how to do it…take any metal necklace and place a ring or other heavy charm on it. Hold the necklace by the clasp and dangle it over the palm of your hand. Just hold it steady for a few seconds, and it should start to move. It will either turn in a circle or sway back and forth. If it is a circle, that counts as a girl. If it sways back and forth, that means a boy.
After it makes the first motion (circle or sway), it will come to a stop. It should then start to move again if you are to have another child. Keep doing this until the necklace stops completely and no longer moves. Remember that this should also count any miscarriages, as it seems to recognize any pregnancy.
Here’s a youtube video in case my instructions are confusing…
How many children are you having and what is/ are their gender(s)?

I just saw this post from the future kids names post — and I have to admit, I did it twice and got the same result each time. A boy first (swaying back and forth) and then a girl (going in a circle). Pretty neat!

Eek! The necklace didnt stop for me! It just kept going back and forth girl – boy – girl – boy – girl – boy ….. My arm got tired so I stopped! I already have a daughter, so it was accurate about having a girl first, but I don’t plan to have THAT many kids! Maybe two more!
Anyone else have the neverending necklace results??

haha this is too cool! According to this im having a girl then a boy, Yahoo!
actually…twins run in my fmaily, and the first time it swung from girl then straight to boy without a pause. I wonder if I get the twins?!

Uh oh .. mine swung in a circle and back and forth at the same time. Boy/girl fraternal twins run in my family so it could be accurate!!

Haha I’m going to try this when I go home for lunch! Do you think it’s more accuate if you put your e-ring on the chain and use that?

Oh I love games like these!
I’ve got a boy coming, then a girl…sounds perfect!

@ Miss Snowflake – I tried it with just the necklace pendant and with just my e-ring. Same result both times!

Fun! It says that I’ll have a girl and then a boy. Exactly what we’re hoping for!

I don’t think I am doing it right. Maybe my hands just shake too much. Like bunny, mine just goes back and forth between girl and boy for eternity. NOT gonna happen. We’re only having 2 (unless I can convince the Mr. to have 4!);

I did this 3 times after I saw it in the future baby names post the first two times I had to stop because it took a while for the necklace to stop and my arm hurt but all times were girl, then boy, then girl. I’m gonna try it on Mr.Tal when he gets home!
