I hate that! When you don’t mean to ruin a surprise, but accidently do!

Last year I bought my husband tickets to a bowl game, well they came in a fed ex envelope & he was expecting something in the mail too. So when he saw the envelope he immediately thought it was his & ripped it open. When he saw the tickets he was like “what the heck” then put two and two together and realized that was my christmas gift to him.

Then, LOL, he preceded to try to tape it back together (like I wouldn’t noctice!) and put it back with the rest of the mail. I couldn’t stop laughing when i saw his tape job!

We pay for presents with cash or buy a visa gift card to use with our cash if we need to buy online.

Cash is definitley a good idea! Set a limit, each take out that amount of cash so that no one is using debit or credit card and won’t show up on your online banking screen.

Lol…this is why you have your own credit card =]. Pay it AFTER you give it to her. Or, have a little bit of money separate just for stuff like this!

Yep, this is exactly why I’ll use credit/cash! But really, it doesn’t matter to us… I mean, just today I went with him to pick out my gift–I know exactly what I’m getting, haha. And his, he had to “inspect” because he was looking for a very specific kind of coat, so we know our gifts!

I guess we’re total party poopers. I just can’t stand surprises. lol.

I bet you’ll have an amazing time at the symphony though!!!!!!! Yay!

Haha, I do the accounts too and the other day I randomly found a receipt that showed that Fiance had taken out a couple hundred in cash…so I wouldn’t know where my present came from or how much!

Haha, we’re getting married on the same day and weeee have a joint account too. Just today Fiance was like, “Uh, don’t look online at our credit card expenses until after Christmas.”

It’s so hard not to look!

My husband is using my access to his credit carda as an excuse not to buy Christmas presents, because he doesn’t think it will be a surprise!

So about a week ago I told him I would touch his credit card until January 1st (the bill is due the 4th…so I’ll pay it then) so he can surprise me!

I don’t know how my mom alwasy purchased presents for my dad and kept them a secret.  Maybe she took cash out?
