Maggie Sottero – Karena Royale

This dress was so pretty on the model, but it made me look boxy and stiff. Probably didn’t help that the dress was a few sizes too big.

But, I am glad I kept looking after that diaster. Because I found Ruthie by ML Blu

I loved the idea of this sherbet Lazaro. It was just too much dress for my tiny frame. Plus, after I tried it on, it was suddenly everywhere. I didn’t want to get married in the trendy dress for that particular year.

I was obsessed with this Tadashi Shoji dress for like a year and FINALLY found a size that fit me… and it totally didn’t look good on person.  I loved the back, but the front just made me look dumpy.  Oh to be 5’10” and willowy!!!  Sad, but I do love the dress I ended up with instead.

Being a bigger girl up top (36GG) I knew I needed straps. Had to have straps. And holy cow did straps make me look even bigger!!

I loved this dress when I saw it online, and I actually did love it in person, but I was afraid there was nothing special or “me” about the dress, so I passed. Now I’m going through major alterations drama with mine, and kind of kick myself for not just going with this one. Oh well. It’s Amsale Harlow

Thought this dress by Allure would be the one.  I obsessed over it for months before trying it on.  Unfortunately, they wouldn’t let me take a picture of it on at the bridal salon.  It really didn’t do anything for me and was kind of blah.

I am very glad I went with my Mori Lee:

I saw this on the mannequin at the very top of the stairs at the bridal shop and literally gasped. He had to pull it off for me to try on and…

It looked terrible. I’m a small D cup and I look SO flat chested here and very bottom heavy.

@Blackie:  I know!!  Sad huh?  Who knows, it might look better on you.  I’m 5’5″ and fairly petite but also a little thick-waisted.  Really not the body type for this dress :/

@bellaingenue:  I know, the shape of the front is just strange.  The panels are lined with tan material so it’s not super risque, but it’s just not very flattering on the waist.  Maybe if you were super thin and long-torsoed….
