I finally found my dress! My second dress that is. No, I’m not wearing two dresses but I bought one and realized it wasn’t meant for me. A lot of you are probably thinking “how does that happens?” It’s easy! You think about your wedding day, dream about what you want to look like, imagine how you feel and then you try on beautiful amazing gowns for the first time and boom – you’re in love. Of course, I ruled many out dresses (7 to be exact) because they didn’t have the right top, the right bottom, the right material or the right fit. But what I didn’t do when I found the one was sleep on it, shop around or do more research. Almost immediately after purchasing my gown I started having doubts. Did it fit my style and personality Did it resemble how I wanted to look on my wedding day” And then I made the fatal mistake. I kept looking at dresses online. Big no-no. The problem is there are THOUSANDS of bridal designers and gowns to choose from. I find it amazing anyone can choose just one!
Anyways, after a month of agonizing about my purchase I decided to contact the bridal shop. They were nice enough (actually, they were AMAZINGLY nice) to let me try mine back on and let me try on others as well. During that appointment I found MY gown. I knew it immediately when I put it on. It fit my personality, it fit my style and it fit like a glove! What was even better is thegown had JUST arrived. I was the first bride to try it on. It’s fresh out of the 2011 collection. Which means it was all “meant to be”. When I tried on dresses the first time this dress wasn’t available to try on so I couldn’t have fallen in love with it and chosen it. Luckily, the store let me exchange my old dress for the new dress. They were both samples so it made it easy. Plus it didn’t hurt that my new dress was more expensive 😉
But now I need to know…what do you think!?
