alfalfasprout10518 : I looked back on my images, and I actually did get quite a few portraits, just after we finished getting ready, I just hadn’t noticed them (I tend to not like photos of myself).

I read your other post about your photographer, he sounds terrible. I think if it was just the bridal portraits it would be forgiveable, but that on top of everything else he missed or photographed poorly would infuriate me.

I’m sorry you dealt with that. Maybe you can organise a couples shoot with your Dh and do some couple photos and portraits? You could even dress up in your wedding gear if you wanted to, and get your hair and makeup done.

The image you have posted is beautiful.

Your post seems overly melodramatic to me. You have photos of you in your dress, just not photos of ONLY you? Meaning you have photos of you with other people? I can’t even say if I have photos of only me in my dress from my wedding day. That doesn’t seem important. You want photos to commemorate the day you married your husband— if you didn’t have a photo of yourself with your husband I could see being sad about that. But not the fact that you’re missing glamour shots of yourself alone.

sparkosity : I’m not being dramatic. I’m disappointed. If you read my previous post you might understand where I’m coming from. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to want photo memories to show my children and grandchildren photos of me. Thanks for your input though

sparkosity : I agree. OP keeps referring to her other post about the photography issues, so why not post this photo to that thread? Starting a new thread with little information and just stating this is the only photo seem dramatic to me.

I read your other thread and I would be very upset if I had that experience, especially after spending so much money on a photographer for a once in a lifetime event. I do want to say though that you look stunning! Could you do a special couples photoshoot to get some new photos?

All the bees with negative/unsupportive comments should maybe read the original thread first. This is not the first time a spin-off thread has been created and it’s not that difficult to look up the original!

alfalfasprout10518 : the videographer is a stupid idiot and made an excuse he couldn’t get the angle correct. So untrue. We tried to take him to court. Makes me furious. He missed the most important bit.

alfalfasprout10518 : I read your other thread about not getting a lot of what you were expecting + paid for. Weddings are so expensive and stressful b/c there is so much build up and then to be disappointed by the photos can ruin the day.

This is a beautiful photo.

Ugh I’m sorry bee! I’m currently going through issues with my photographer as well. (although after reading your situation I feel a little bit better about mine). But I can certainly relate to the utter disappointment.
