I’m on spring break and my Fiance being the way he is wanted to order out something to eat *his roommate isn’t the best cook* and went on his online banker to check his bank accounts. The account that yesterday had held about $100 in it all of a sudden was completely empty with the reason of an account lein being placed against him.
We have no idea why any account lein would be against him, never recieved any word of this, and we have the debts from his hospital stay on hold for now so we know that isn’t from that. The bank wasn’t any help, they transferred us to the legal department that closed a minute before our phone call got thru. Wondering, we decided to check our credit reports, everything on mine was as expected, his weren’t showing up at all due to inconsistancies in their records.
All three agencies asked questions about mortgages taken out in 2000/2002 range and a car loan taken out in 2010. My Fiance is only 26, he’s never had a mortgage, much less one taken out when he was 13 to 15 years old, and he sure as heck didn’t have a car loan in the last three years. We’re making phone calls tomorrow morning to try and get stuff started to be straightened out, but I was wondering, has anybody else been in this situation or one similar?? Or if anybody has any tips or hints that we could use while trying to figure all of this information out, it would be very welcome!
