@shelly.mg0924:  I’d try to hold off on testing until at least 10-11dpo if you can’t stand the suspense.  testing too early and getting a BFN might just make you upset.

@Running Elley:  Re: the progesterone:  Er..nothing.  It was borderline low (4.5) when she took it at day 21 which was only 4dpo for me last cycle.  When I met with her on Monday (4dpo this cycle), she acknowledged that she took it too early for my cycle and that I’m ovulating later in the cycle, which was not generally a concern but didn’t give us too much information.  She said I could go on the progesterone this month, but she looked at my temp chart and noted a clear ovulation and a continued rise in temp without the prometrium, so she thinks my body is doing what it needs to do on its own.  I haven’t temped on a non-medicated cycle, so she suggested seeing what happens with this month, to pay attention to my chart, and call her if I start spotting early and I can go right over for a progesterone check.  I’m hoping the next time I call her, it’s with a bfp!

@lotam240:Hmmmmm very interesting. Isn’t it cool seeing what your body does on it’s own on an unmedicated cycle? Amid all my frustration I’m actually kind of enjoying that this cycle. 4DPO is superrrr early to check progesterone so fingers crossed that those results aren’t accurate. I can’t wait to see how it goes and I’m hoping you get to call her with a BFP too!!! Are you planning on testing early (as long as there is no spotting)? I know that my dr always recommends me testing pretty early (usually 12 or 14DPO…basically just as soon as my period is due or before) so that if I get a BFP she can get me prometrium or another supplement ASAP.

I’m chilling out at 9DPO here. Part of me is expecting to get my period, while the other half of me isn’t. We timed BD pretty well this month and used Instead cups, so I’m hoping that our chances are higher, but who knows until Wednesday!

@MrsMaine: Ugh, I’m sorry. I definitely think you’re starting to venture into where I was last cycle – get ye some period starter drugs asap to move on (if you’re NOT preggers, which the blood test should show.) *hugs*

@Running Elley: Yeah, the stress of having those tests ready to use can be annoying. I’m supposed to have a ‘let’s check if you ovulated!’ blood test – that’s 8 days from now. So far, no signs at ALL that we’re anywhere near O. Just keep hanging in there, one day at a time! x

@bunny: I’ve hardly ever SEEN EWCM but the few times I have, it’s been all kinds of colours. I don’t think it matters, to be honest. Isn’t it the consistancy that counts?

@MrsMaine: I’m really sorry…I was really hoping to come back to this thread with a BFP from you.

@Running Elley: A huge bummer that you’re not O’ing right now…especially when you’re trying to have tests done. Hopefully things begin to look up for you!

@lotam240: sending baby dust to you (and to everyone else too!)

As for me, 6 DPO, and temps are soaring now. Hopefully that’s a good sign!

I unfortunately have some bad news about my SIL. She just discovered she was pregnant, and at her first appt, the baby’s heartrate is way too low. It’s a matter of time before she miscarries. So fruatrating that this is happening to my family again only a completely different family member. I feel for her and my brother and just wish there was something I could do for them. If you all wouldn’t mind saying a small prayer for them to heal quickly, I’d forever be in your debt!

@2PeasinaPod:  I’m so sorry to hear about your SIL. I’m sure you can be a real source of strength and support for her.

On a more positive note – we’re officially twins – philly, 6dpo and soaring temps (I posted my chart in the charters thread).

@Running Elley:  Thanks!  Yes, it is neat to see what my body is actually doing…even better to see that it’s doing what it’s supposed to…at least for now.  I was going to see how thing/temps/symptoms go and then decide when to test.  I’m aiming for Thursday or Friday, (12-13dpo).  That way I can call the doc and see if i can get a check and start the prometrium if need be.

@lotam240: Your chart looks almost exactly like mine too! I can’t figure out how to copy and paste my cart from FF…it always opens up the symptom tracker when I click on my chart!

Hi all!  I’ve been reading this board for a few weeks now and thought it high-time I make an introduction. I am just starting TTC.  For work reasons, I was unsure when exactly would be a good time, but I am finishing a year of training (i’m in medicine) and thought if I could manage to get pregnant this month (or last, but that didn’t happen!) It would be great timing before I start a new job this summer.  I could put off the new job a month or two and that would allow me not to have to take maternity leave from a new job.  If not, I may put it off for a few months and try again so I can have some time in my new job before having to take maternity leave.  I should be 3-4 days DPO now and we definitely did the BD several key time during my likely ovulation time, so here’s to hoping!

Pregnancy is a bit of a sensitive issue in my family so I am not planning to tell anyone that I am trying or even when I get pregnant until I am well through the first trimester.  My older sister had a lot of difficulty and actually lost her first baby at term during delivery.  And lost a couple of pregnancies to miscarriage before she had 2 successful pregancies (she has 2 beautiful boys now).  So to prevent an excess amount of anxiety in my anxiety-prone family,  I am going to keep it quiet til I have a high likelihood of success (aka I am past the first trimester)  So I thought I might use this board as a place to post my excitement about trying!

Good luck to all!!

@lotam240:It’s FANTASTIC that your body is doing this on it’s own. Absolutely wonderful. I can’t wait to hear the results!

*sigh* Okay, we got the FRERs. I’ll test with one in the morning. I’m still holding out a tad bit of hope. Is that silly? Am I crazy? I just can’t believe AF isn’t here.
