I love stories like this. This is going to sound so weird, but I hope that this happens to me and my Fiance if we live to be that old. I don’t want to live without him, and I don’t want him to have to live without me. I think it would be the best way to “go”.

🙁 I’ve seen this happen before in the nursing home I work at. About 3 years ago on Valetines Day same thing, they were married 60+ years and died on the same day and they shared the same room. It broke us all for awhile!

So sweet. I’ve heard of people dying of a broken heart, this happened with my husband’s boss and his wife, but with a couple of weeks in between.

I just know Darling Husband will die very shortly after me if I go first. That man cannot cook and he will surely starve.

Everytime I watch the Notebook, I cry because I want that ending for Darling Husband and I so badly.

@MissGreen:  oh wow! that would make me cry but it’s such a wonderful story. sigh.

I read about a similar story to this before, and I dunno, it just doesn’t hit me as being sweet. Seems kinda sad to me. On another note, the Notebook is based on the relationship of the author’s in laws.
