newbee0926 :  EEEK! That’s so exciting!!! I hope he doesn’t make you wait for 3 freaking months! Mine is in the house too…. We picked it out together (haven’t seen any of the components in person yet though) the jeweler contacted me when it was done and he picked it up on Saturday. I am dying to hunt for it, but he asked if I wanted to see it and I said no because I’d want to wear it right now! He’s been extra affectionate the last couple days but we had a crazy busy weekend so i think it’l happen any time now. ACK!!

I feel your pain, pal! Hang in there – and like you say, just do your best not to disrupt his plans on him and ruin it for yourself as well!!

My SO let if slip that my ring (which is being made by a friend of mine) is still not ready – could be another couple of weeks still. Although I did make a point of saying, ah right – that’s grand…I just thought you were making me wait until our NYC trip in December which is AGES away…

(i.e… dont make me wait that long!!!)

Thankfully I dont think he will πŸ™‚

Very excited for you – I guess we’re on the countdown together. Happy to talk / conspire anytime!!

That is very exciting. I knew my fiancé had my ring for almost a month before he actually proposed. Try not to ruin his surprise/proposal plans though! Let things happen the way they are suppose to happen. Future you will thank present you for keeping calm and waiting it out!

danaberries :  That is exactly how I was! Every time he was like “could you come here for a second?” I was like “this is it!!” and then I just had to help him take the trash out or something!

OP, it is such an exciting time!! Enjoy it!

newbee0926 :  I hope it happens soon for you!!!!

My ring has been in his sock drawer for weeks now. 😐

We are going on vacation on Thursday and I got my nails done just in case. haha A mutual friend of ours told me she didn’t think it would happen this time though.. She said, “if I knew, I wouldn’t tell you, but from what I’ve been told I think it will be closer to the end of the year.” My heart sank. I just talked to her about an hour ago so it’s a fresh wound. πŸ™

All the positive vibes to you.

Yay that’s so exciting!! But I know what you mean, it can be hard to contain yourself knowing it’s that close! My ring isn’t in the house, but it may as well be. My SO is going to propose with a stand in ring, and then we’re going to design a ring together afterwards, so he could propose with any of the rings I already have. He could propose anytime from now until October, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he waited until October because we’re going on a big vacation then. But I know he’s working on a plan for the proposal, which is getting me excited, because he keeps telling me all the ideas he’s had that he’s decided not to do lol. At this point it seems like he’s had every idea under the sun so no idea what is left! Lol.

Exciting times!! Luckily I just bought a house and am immersed in packing and moving and getting renovations done, so I don’t have too much time to think about it. Except when I’m at work and it’s dead and I can’t help but go on the Bee lol.

I am in a similar boat. We picked the ring out together and I asked him to surprise me with a proposal but now it’s been in our house for 5 weeks! Everytime he goes to the basement I am expecting him to pop out with the ring LOL I’ve been so good to not bug him about it and I’ve gotten different clues to where it is in the house. Unprovoked! He’s not a good liar/secret keeper but it is killing me, I am so ready to be engaged and enjoy this next step in our lives.

We just got back from New Orleans and I was conviced that he would propose there. Through a series of events he ended up telling me he thought to do in NOLA but a couple friend of his got engaged there and didn’t want to copy them. While I was disappointed (I didn’t know this information) I am mostly glad he decided to wait so we can have our own special time. When ever that special time might be!

I know this will all be funny a year from now but today I want to die!
