Here is mine! It’s the only one that I loved! But I did pick out a few others that were priced lower and told my fiancé I loved them all…..but he picked this one too. Thank god, I would have been a bit disappointed, but now its mine and I am obsessed πŸ™‚

My Fiance proposed on my birthday weekend with the help from all our family and friends.  Although he didn’t propose with a ring, we went ring shopping afterwards.  I initially thought I wanted a classic setting with an Asscher diamond, but when I saw this little beauty, I was drawn to it instantly.  I love it’s timeless look and to top it all off, it was exactly the 1st ring I designed while playing around in the Blue Nile website.

I have posted mine a lot here and I never get any coments on it because I guess It’s kinda simple and plain but that’s me. I don’t mind posting it again and telling my story of how I found it.

I knew I just had to get mine from The Shane Co.

I knew I wanted a round brilliant cut center stone because they seem so timless and sparkle like crazy. (good thing cuz my Fiance already had the diamond)

I had been searching the Shane Co. site and had a few favs saved.

I went to the store alone and was extreemly nervous. I’m talking, shaking, sweating, labored breathing. LOL IDK why. I figured I am about to pick out something that I will wear everyday for the rest of my life! I better love it.

A sales lady caught my eye and had me look up my saved rings online. She was busy helping 3 of us at the same time and really rushed me through the process. I hastily decided on one that really was too dainty for my size 7 finger but when I told her I needed my Fiance to come in and put the down payment she was like ok. The proceeded to move on to the next customer.

I almost left but I felt sick. Like I was rushed into it and felt it wasn’t the one. So I left the area she was in and and looked around. I came across “the ring”! Another sales lady came over and asked if I wanted to see it. I couldn’t stop smiling and said yes. (I told her what had just happened and she said was sorry and that I should take all the time I need)

She took it out of the case and I slipped it on and started crying. I loved it so much. It was perfect for me. (I had a SYTTD moment over my ring. LOL) She was like that’s your ring! She was right!

YIKES! Sorry for the long post.Embarassed

@agirlwithdreams7: Thanks I love yours too. Very unique and not like so many others I’ve seen. Great job!

FYI I can’t see Amy’s pic either. πŸ™

So my story is that Fiance and I have been together 7 years, most of which was long distance. I finally caved in and moved to his town to be with him. Gave him a deadline until the end of the year to propose. I always thought it would come on Halloween (which is my favorite holiday), maybe I was buying way too much into the whole trick or treat theme. lol. Anyways, Halloween came and went and no proposal. I was so upset! I ended reverting into super-crazy mode and started nagging him. On 11/11/11 we went out with friends and on top of this rooftop restaurant he led me outside to the deserted lounge area so we can enjoy the cityline view. Then he proposed! Right after I said yes, the fireworks he arranged went off in the night sky. It was amazing! Caught me completely off guard. That sneaky man. =)

Below are my rings. The setting and wedding bands were one set. It tooks months to find the diamond with the specs we wanted which is what caused the delay in the proposal. But in the end, I absolutely love it, though I never want to wait that long again! Enjoy all!

@luvmyDwight: I also went to Shane Co! Though the wedding is in Houston, Fiance and I live in Phoenix. Go Cardinals!

Sorry for the long post.

@agirlwithdreams7: Your ring is gorgeous. I always had a fondness for three stone rings.

@luvmyDwight: I wanted to add that I think your ring is beautiful. I love how it catches the light from both the band and the diamond!

mine is kind of an odd story. the ring i love with all my heart is actually a family heirloom from my great grandmother. she died when i was  about 3 but she decided that i was the great-grandchild she wanted to have her wedding set go to. it was always in a safe at my parents house but when my mom would go to get her nice jewlery or when i had to get out some important documents of mini i would look at it and just love it. flash forward to ring shopping with then Boyfriend or Best Friend and although i thought some were very very pretty in my head it was always a comparison with the ring in the safe. needless to say nothing came even close.

so on my birthday my dad gives the ring set to me because it was “the right time” to have them. so i open the box and look at them and just for kicks decide to try the engagement ring on fully expecting it not to fit (i have a size 10 finger… so not a common size at all) and IT FIT PERFECTLY. i dont normally jump on the fate bandwaggon but i think there must have been something out there in play.

anyway here is my Engagement Ring with the engagement band.

We got engaged when I was 18 and went shopping together and chose this little beauty

Then a few years later all my friends were getting engaged and had huge diamond whoppers and I was feeling a little envious.  My wonderful hubby let me choose an upgrade.  It’s a beautiful ring but all I felt was sadness at missing my little sapphire delight on my finger.  I finally had the courage to tell him I preferred my original and we are having the upgrade reset into a pretty right hand ring for me.  I will never again take off this beautiful ring, I just love love love her.  My husband is having a delicate prong set eternity ring made for me right now to go with her to celebrate the birth of our son.  Moral of the story, the grass is not always greener and this ring just kept crying out to me when I wasnt wearing it.
