So I had to go find that board–it’s relatively easy to find of you google for it. It’s unfortunate that there are such mean spirited people in the world, but there you go.

I think the only reason to name some of the ring-leaders is that when you talked about users asking for more defined rules…well I know some people who have done that here and I immediately think: “Oh so it was them.” when in reality mabye it wasn’t. Other people might be making the same assumptions as well, and naming the actual posters will clear the names of those lumped in by association.

Just a thought.

I also want to echo my appreciation for the hard work, time, and effort of Mr. Bee and the moderation team.

I see baffling snarkiness (and sometimes just downright sadistic meanness) on another (non-wedding related) message board that I’m on, but I just chalked it up to the group of people that visit that board.  I never would have imagined that some women would bring that kind of sheer conspiratorial meanness to a wedding board (since weddings are supposed to be some of the happiest times in our lives!)  It still blows my mind that someone (or many people) could craft such a plan to inject such negativity and meanness into something that’s supposed to be constructive and happy.

In the end, it sounds like some people who “troll” on the internetz have WAY too much free time on their hands.

And I guess this little outed conspiracy brings a whole new meaning to “bridezillas”!  :lol

Oh, wow. I’m just gonna agree with everyone here–with time like that on my hands I could have knitted like 600 sweaters for all my friends’ pets.

Thanks for all the great work you do, mods and Mr. Bee!

Thanks, Mr. Bee. And to the trolls out there- Get a Life. Seriously. Do people really have this much time on their hands?

It has been interesting to see how much weddingbee has changed over the past 2 years. When I first joined around 2 years ago, the atmosphere was not as snarky and snippy. I don’t recall ever seeing banter back and forth on so many threads (besides some of the obvious topics.)

So I wonder what has changed? I assume that its because the site is growing rapidly in popularity, so with the good comes the bad.

I appreciate your work in trying the keep the site clean of negativity and more about advice, inspiration, and ideas 🙂

I love this website and I don’t understand the thought process of someone who would purposfully be a bitch,  for lack of a better word.  Thank you Weddingbee for the hard work that you do to make this a positive and safe forum for all of us!

XOXO,

Thank you to Mr. Bee and all the mods!

I cannot believe there was such a coordinated attack on WB! It baffles me why people would do that.

Okay I must admit, I’m very surprised this “other” forum even existed!  I mean are some people’s lives THAT miserable they dedicate so much of their time and energy on being mean and bitchy to brides on weddingbee?  I just find it soo sad and pathetic.

I sometimes come across very snarky comments on the boards and always think to myself, some comments should just be left unsaid.  Totally unnecessary!  If I don’t like something or don’t agree with a poster, then I just keep it moving.  It’s one thing to give constructive criticism and another to be judgemental and rude.

I’m glad this issue was addressed, I may feel more comfortable posting more on weddingbee 🙂
