Okay ladies, the SIUP has worked for many other bees and has worked for some of us other bees and not so well for others, but regardless, I have been thinking about redoing a certain element of the Pact. Time.
We have been doing the pact once a week, but sometimes, we have done twice a week. While it is all fun and games, I would also like to maybe keep actual points. So, there are two things I would like for all of you to vote on today.
How long would you prefer the pact last?
Would you like the pact-keeper to keep actual points for everyone? (Would be kept via spread sheet.)

@Booknerd: OK, I voted for 2 week long pacts and no point system. Basically, both decisions were based on it being easier for the pact-runner. Once a week is GREAT but the times where it’s extended a bit have been good too. I think a month at a time is a hard commitment and we’ll all fail at some point. The point system would be fun, but I think that’s going to be a huge time suck for you with no real benefit.
If you’re just looking for a more interactive aspect, maybe we could nominate fellow pact-keepers for prizes? Like based on good advice we saw them give, or that they made us laugh… etc?

I think 1 or 2 weeks is fine, but I agree with Lia the points being tracked would be a time suck for you. We don’t want you to go crazy! 😛

I think month-long pacts would be really good and really helpful for those of us who have trouble bringing it up all the time!

Okay so, in comments, 2 weeks has a better vote but by the votes we are tied for 2 weeks and 1 month.
But clear that the points should stay the same. I do like the idea of a nominated award, though. I will think about how exactly I would do that and let you ladies know. For now, we will keep the poll open and not start a new pact until a few more opinions are heard.
Anything else you ladies would like added to or changed about the pact?

I think two weeks is good! I feel like most of us check in pretty regularly anyway, so as long as it’s staying current, it seems like less work! I also don’t really feel like it’s THAT serious, so even if someone broke it, they could just pick back up again. NBD 🙂

Well, we got some more votes…..
The Pact will now be TWO weeks long and the points system will stay the same!
The new pact will go up on Sunday, which means that you have THREE MORE DAYS OF NO PACT! TALK IT UP, BE ANNOYING!!!! But come Sunday, you will have to be quiet for TWO WEEKS!!!! 😀

Ok since we’re not on the Pact right now I don’t feel about about the following hilarious conversation:
Me: So did you look up “push present”?
Him: Yes. Crazy nonsense.
Me: Crazy?! I’m supposed to push your kid out of my vagina and you can’t buy me a present?
Him: You’re already getting a ring!
Me: That’s true. Do you want an engagement ring? That would only be fair, right?
Him: I’m getting a wedding ring!
Me: So am I! I get two rings.
Him: Oh… right.
Me: Well, I’ll get you a present on our wedding day too.
Him: Oh nice. So is that my “shove present”?
Me: You’re an asshole.

You guys!!!! The Pact apparently meant more than I thought. Now that we’re on a break I can’t stop freaking talking to him about our wedding/babies/marriage! ACK!
