- Wedding: June 2011
That would be me…. the indecisive bride who has now purchased tons of shoes for the wedding.
It all strarted with those darn Hey Lady shoes. I love them. They look so gorgeous on the website.
Then you order them, and my goodness are they tight. Even after returning them and sizing up, as well as stretching them out, they are still snug, and are made moreso by the fact that I have to wear a gel pad b/c the bed of the shoe is too long from sizing up.
I want to wear them. I really do. I spent nearly $400 on them, after all. But I know I won’t wear them all day.
So, I decided to get a cute pair of flats for when my feet tired out. This seemed simple enough- get a cute pair of flats that I know I’ll wear again. No big deal.
Of course, that is until I received them. The shoes in question are the Seychelles Bette flat in Off-white.
(please excuse the crappy bathroom picture… They’re amazing in person. Promise.)
Now, I had been looking at MANY Seychelles styles for a while, but always avoided trying them on for fear of purchasing. This was actually a good plan, because I have to tell you- these are the best shoes in the world. Ever. Really. They have opened the flood gates.
They are made of super soft leather that is just like magic on your feet. I’m addicted. I have been Ebay trolling for cheap Seychelles since recieving them. I purchased one pair of “everyday” heels for super cheap ($8 plus shipping! Seriously!) and I have to say… they are WAY more comfortable than the Hey Lady Shoes.
Which led me to wonder- Would a pair of Seychelles heels be a better choice for the wedding heels? Should I try to sell the Hey Lady shoes and go with my new addiction shoes?
Of course, this led me to order yet ANOTHER pair of shoes (two, actually, as I don’t know what size to get…) However, these only cost me $40 for each pair, and I’m going to resell the size that I don’t need. That’s a big jump down from $400.
So, It’s official. I have a wedding shoe problem.
Oh, and for reference, my wedding colors are shades of Peach (peach, coral, salmon, blush, etc), Cream, Pale Yellow, and Light blue (I’m using blue Ball jars as vases).
And this is my dress:
What do you all think? Keep the Hey Lady Shoes? Sell them and try to recoup some of the money?
Is anybody else a Million Shoe Bride?
