The smell of rain on hot pavement is my absolute favorite… so, no, I don’t think you’re weird!

I love the smell of rain, too.  I also love the way Crayola crayons smell which everyone tells me is weird.

The smell of the air in the morning when you know it’s going to be a hot day… it reminds me of the taste of garden hose water… very hard to put into words.

Also the smell of a medium-cold winter night.  Not fireplace smell, not pine tree smell, but this particular almost sweet scent to the air that has really nothing I can equate it with.

I definitely thought this was going to be a post about how insanely hot it is today in NYC and how the whole city tends to smell like trash or an armpit when it is this oppressively hot!

But I love the smell of fire, so on that note, I agree with you!

Not entirely the same thing but I have noticed that our house will smell warm  I can’t explain it but it only happens when it’s warm outside and the house heats up but I love the smell!

Ugh, I hate that, but I hate the heat (well, weather-wise). I do love bonfire smell, though.

@MissNoodles:  Agreed! That and the way really cold, dry winter nights smell. I can’t describe it, but it’s like…it smells like snow.

Also, the smell of rain in the air. I can always smell it coming.

@hermitcrab:  Haha me too — I was like, you mean the way the metro car smells when the AC is broken (which is very often) and people are stankin up the place? Because … I don’t love that smell. Not one bit. 🙂

I like the smell of burning oil.  It reminds me of helping my grandpa cut the lawn when I was little.

I thought this was funny to share though, for those of you who love the smell of rain.  😉
