So…I’ve been working on my centerpieces and decided to start doing a mock-up…I decided on pomanders made with coffee filter flowers and will either turn it into a topiary or put it directly in the pot the way that it is in the picture, or do a mixture of both at different tables…but I’m curious as to what else I should add to the centerpieces to go along with a topiary? I was thinking maybe a triangular photo box and table number/name? Any suggestions?? Would a mirror go with this for the bottom?
I am not quite sure if I like the beads or not…the pots will be painted black and the saucers will probably be white…the rim of the pot will have a ribbon around it in the color of the pomander…my colors are black and white with rainbow accents, so each table will have a different color pomander…
What do y’all think?? 🙂

@MissThespian: They are so cute. I think you did a great job with the flowers on the pomanders. I don’t think you need the beads since the pot and saucer will have the black and white handled, though I might just be saying that bc I can’t picture it easily in my head. Once you get one set painted, try with and without the rocks and see if you like the effect. (Ha, sorry for the not-so-helpful suggestion there.)
I’m not a fan of a mirror beneath it to be honest. I usually only see those with candles and clear bowls. Where would you put the table numbers? Alongside the pots/topiaries or on them somehow? Just wanted to verify. Good job!

Since your table numbers look similar to a potted plant, maybe have a white ‘planter’ pick sticking out of it with black font (to keep with the theme) labeling the table name or number??

@HisMoon: Thanks for the suggestion 🙂 The beads will actually go inside the pot since the pomander will be sitting on a wooden stick like a topiary…
@WineAndCupcakes: I’m actually doing table names (names of flowers) but trying to figure out what will look the best, there will also be two candles on the table that are going to be in mini terra cotta pots (my sister makes candles)…what should I put underneath all of this stuff? a mirror? charger?

@WineAndCupcakes: I love this idea (of the table name picks!)
I think a mirror would look great under it–I love mirrors! And I love how they look now in the pots, though they would look good as topiaries too. Great job!

can you spray paint the foam ball first (a pink/red like the flowers) so it doesnt show?
