The other day I told my dad I was scared I would trip and fall while we walked down the aisle. He said, “At least it will be memorable. No one will forget the girl who banged her head and knocked out three teeth!” THANKS.
Then today, before we got my dress, I said to my best friend/future sister-in-law, “I need to get a paper bag to wear over my head for the wedding,” to which she responded, “Okay.”
Then just now, I told my fiance that I already had my accessory: a paper bag for my head. He told me to make sure I cut out eye holes, and that I have to make sure it’s not a “super-white” bag or it will clash with my dress.
THANKS EVERYONE FOR TEASING ME INSTEAD OF ALLAYING MY FEARS!!!! lol

@peachacid: Haha, I mentioned to a friend (half-jokingly) that I hope I don’t cry on the wedding day. His response? “I’ll punch you in the kidneys. That’ll give you something to cry about!”
I guess it’s good that they’re not doing that patronising “Of course you’ll be fine! You’re going to be a special magical princess!”

That would be me and my FH. We often get over our fears by joking about them. By joking it makes you realize how silly and/or irrational they really are.
I’m sorry but I just about spit my drink out about the eye holes/super white comment! lol

Men aren’t good at alleviating fears. Plus, it’s kind of hard to tell when a woman is joking or not. So, they just kinda go with it.
Don’t worry, my husband just showed me a picture of a woman dressed like Princess Lea and said, “Would you wear this?” And before I could answer he goes, “Nevermind, your boobs aren’t big enough.”
I love you too, honey.
Try not to let it get to you. I know it’s easier said than done, but you can always use these silly comments to tell your (if considering) children one day. It’ll all be a good laugh.

@Hyperventilate: It makes me laugh, but sometimes I need to be told I look okay! But their making fun of me is their way of saying, “I know you are worried, but you are being ridiculous. Everything will be fine.”
And now it’s bed time! Have a good one everyone. =)
