My grandmother gave me my great-grandmother’s rose gold wedding ring from 1929 to wear to my wedding & keep to pass down to my future daughter.
It is such a sweet gesture as my great grandparents were married for 75(!) years when my great grandmother passed away in her 90’s and were the happiest couple I’ve ever known.
I feel like the luckiest girl in the world & hope that I have a marriage as happy & long as theirs!
Did anyone else have a sentimental pre-wedding gift like this or any ‘good luck charms’ for their wedding?

@MissHoneyBun: I’m in the office at the moment but will upload a pic when I get home!
It’s a plain band but quite chunky… I’m secretly sad that she didn’t give me the rose gold ring before I’d had my wedding ring made because I would have loved to wear it as my own wedding ring!

Doesn’t mean you can’t ever wear is as your wedding band! Future Mother-In-Law has a sapphire that she sometimes wears instead of her wedding band.

For my wedding my mom found a broach that belonged to my great grandma and I pinned it to my veil. It was pinned to the top part, the part by my hair so it was kind of hard to see. But in a way, I liked that better because only I really knew it was there. It was my “something old.” I kind of had a vintage theme going on for my wedding so the broach was perfect for it. =)
And I can’t wait to see pictures of your great grandmas ring, I love rose gold!

My grandmother for as long as I can remember always wore her wedding band, e-ring and my great grandmothers wedding band on her finger.. my sister is getting my grandmothers wedding band and I’m getting my great grandmothers wedding band (we are getting married 3 weeks apart). I’m also wearing my grandmothers necklace she was given when she was born, my mother also wore it to her wedding :).
