yes, it sure is.  this will be both of our second marriages, so Thank god the only stress i have to deal with is a honeymoon. Were saving for it now, but paying the full payment when we get our tax checks. Our ceremony is only 20 ppl and our restrurant reception is a month later (already paid for) so that takes a load of me.

I was working on my card box today and my Fiance said “Don’t you think you’re starting too early?” After I gave him a dirty look, I proceeded to show him our May posts including your bulleted list @mayflowerbride13:  Fiance then became very panicky and said “Print off that list! We have alot to do!” lol

It still feels far away for me, but I’m sure it’ll be here in a flash, haha. And I suppose it’s good that it still feels far away because I still have so much left to do! I FINALLY ordered our save-the-dates today and we’ll be sending them out soon. I’ve also:

-booked our officiant and met for pre-marital counseling

-Made our DIY bouquets

-Booked caterer, venue, cupcakes, photographer, all big vendors

-Made most centerpieces

But I still havelots of little projects to do; I’m doing a lot of DIY.

Venue done- FI’s family farm.

Officiant done- my brother.

Photography done- friend and former boss offered to do it.

Food- decided.  All DIY, sis-in-laws will help, as well as my mom.

Stationery for invites purchased.

My dress/veil waiting in my dad’s guest-room closet.

Just found awesome sandals that will match my dress!

On vacation with my mom right now, so will dig in more when we get back and settled in.  Fiance has no preference regarding anything, so it’s all whatever I want.  Need to pow-wow with Mom and Mother-In-Law and Maid/Matron of Honor and SIL’s.

You guys are all so far ahead of me, and working on some details I never even considered!

Best wishes, May-Bees!

@MrsFullerToBe:  I can agree with you about the guest list continuing to grow! We started at 100 guests and now we’ve invited 191!!! Something happened…lol.

I feel like we’re doing good so far! We’ve been engaged since Jan and I’ve spent a lot of May and August setting things in stone.

At the moment we’re working on a cake baker and finding a place for our rehearsal dinner

have wedding parrty get measured for attire
finish addressing invitations
write our ceremony vows
decide if we want to go on our honeymoon straight away (we live in Australia on the beach so it’s pretty wonderful already)
Then the rest is more 2-3 weeks closer to May 4th

If I look at everything that is done, it seems like not much is left.  Oh boy, is that not the case!

Have to:  have food tasting, have cake tasting, pay for cake, bridesmaids have to buy dresses (online, so no rush), groom and groomsmen have to handle their outfits, order bouts (online, silk), get another runner for the ceremony, buy foundation ceremony stuff (a la Mrs. Bunting), paint a bunch of sticks for centerpieces, buy jenga (guest book), order table overlays, choose a makeup and hairstylist, get flower girl and ring bearer accessories, get a garter, find a speaker for ipad (for ceremony).  Details, just details. I also have to finish the invitations, which are diy, but I cannot until after the food tasting.

On top of all that, we areunder contract to buy a house! The closing is scheduled for November 16th, so here’s hoping all goes well.
