I’m going to try this. We have been casually trying for a year with no results, so I’m really starting to get antsy.

How long do you bees leave your soft cups in for after BD?

AquariusLove :  We finished BDʻing at 9:30 PM and I left it in all night until I got ready for work at 8AM.

Not able to tag you Dana, but thanks for your insight! Seems like a good long stretch is reasonable, at least 10 hours. Ughh, this trifecta stuff really needs to be a randomized controlled study, lol!

Well, I used guaifenesin, pre-seed, and soft cups this cycle, 13dpo now and I’m getting a faint positive. Also used OPK and charted for the first time, and had sex three times in a row during my fertile days. So I don’t really know if the trifecta helped because it was our first serious TTC month, but I kind of feel like it did help because we have been NTNP for over a year with no results. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to get knocked up fast.

Another successful trifecta bee here. We BD’d O-1 and O. We’ve been trying for 3 months straight (one of them there wasn’t any sex during my FW, so 2 TTC cycles ). I got my BFP starting 16 DPO. I dont know if the Trifecta did the trick, but it certainly doesnt hurt our odds. I recommend Trifecta, 😊!

j9marie :  Congratulations! And thanks for bumping this thread.

This is our 5th cycle and if it doesnt pan out I’m going to try the trifecta.

j9marie : AquariusLove :  congrats!!

I’m going to do 2/3 of the Trifecta… skipping the cup. Everything I’ve read has talked about how sperm will either swim where they’re supposed to swim no matter what, or they won’t due to semen quality issues.

I have tons of ewcm so no mucinex for me but I do use my menstrual  cup & preseed. I’m also going to start taking baby aSprin as soon as I go buy some.

We’re just going into our fourth cycle and ready to try something different so I be trying 2/3 of the Trifecta and will report back in a month! I’ll be trying the mucinex and softcups (well, mooncup as I already have one), no pre-seed but I am taking evening primrose oil. Really hope I’ll be another bfp to add to this thread!

My first month trying the trifecta I got a BFP (after many months of no success). I also did a lot of acupuncture and meditated daily, along with everything else I could possibly think of.

HOWEVER, consider my epic fail your warning!!! I had always read stories of people leaving their tampon in too long and thought I would never in a million years do something like that!!! Because HOW?! But I ended up having surgery the day of O (not that that is a real excuse), but –TMI–we were not intimate for a couple weeks because I was in a lot of pain, and I totally forgot the soft cup was in there for two full weeks. I was absolutely horrified. My stomach just dropped! I know the risk of TSS is way less with a cup but still possible.

So if you’re trying the trifecta, be a little more self-aware than I am. Still beating myself up about this.

Coming back to say I DID get my bfp this month so maybe it helped! I was using the robitussin (mucinex) for around four days before ovulation 2x a day, but I ovulated earlier than I thought so I didn’t get time to use the mooncups. We did use them later in the cycle and I definitely recommend for quick clean up haha. Good luck to everyone!

Raising this thread up from the dead.

I remember seeing this thread 2 years ago. We had wanted to TTC back then, but ended up putting it off for a while. But this “trifecta” stayed fresh in my mind. So after one failed cycle of TTC, I decided to try the trifecta and we got our BFP! Not sure if it was just coincidence that we got pregnant the month we did the trifecta. But I’m a believer! Hoping that raising this thread from the dead might let some new people see it and try it out 🙂
