So when I moved in with Fiance nine months ago, I knew that we would have to make some compromises. One thing that I knew we were going to figure out was the television in the bedroom. I personally believe that the bedroom is a place for rest and you know what. Fiance on the other hand, loves to watch TV in bed and pass out without having to go anywhere. He also loved to eat snacks in bed which makes me cringe.
So when I moved in I knew we had to discuss this. So we listed what we liked/disliked about the TV in the bedroom and in the end, Fiance agreed that we should move the TV to the den. After giving it much thought, he thought that it would have been the best decision. And now, he loves it! He doesn’t miss his old routine at all. And the bedroom looks better, too!
So ladies who live with their SO/FI, did you have the great TV in the bed room debate? Do you prefer to have the TV in the bedroom? I made a poll just because I am curious!

Darling Husband did NOT want a tv in the bedroom when we first moved in together. We only have 1 tv at the time, so I figured we would see how it went. Well, we both agree now that we love not having a tv in the bedroom. When we’re in bed, we actually talk. And it means that if we want to watch tv, we have to do it together, so we spend more time together too.

We have a tv in the bedroom, but we really dont watch it much. If I dont fal asleep as soon as my head its the pillow, I read for a bit, and the fiance either reads or watches tv.
It doesnt really bother me. We eat dinner together every night and walk almost every night, so that is really our time to catch up and talk.

we both love watching movies in bed, so this wasnt a debate for us.

When we moved in together, we had a 2 bedroom, and 3 tvs. So to save space in the storage room, we put one in the bedroom. We very rarely watch tv in the bedroom, but I love it when I want to lay in bed and watch a movie in peace.

We used to have a tv in our bedroom, but it broke a while back, and I can honestly say we haven’t missed it since. I think it’s improved our sleeping habits, and it’s nice to have a peaceful, restful sanctuary (especially with the light blocking curtains that keep it really dark). I have a friend whose husband stays up all night playing his Playstation in their bedroom. I would never condone that, lol!

We both love having a tv in our bedroom and we both are people who sleep with the tv on (on mute). Weird, but we both wouldn’t have it any other way!

We have a small tv in the bedroom BUT it isn’t hooked up to actual television. I had it in there to watch DVD’s while hubby was on night shift cause I couldn’t sleep without it. LOL Now it never gets turned on. The only other tv is in the living room and it has satilite on it and like someone mentioned above we always watch tv together since only one works! 🙂

So funny that lots of people actually have this debate, it’s so true 🙂 Fiance thinks we shouldn’t have one, but I will miss it. I like having it on in the mornings while I get ready for work, just for the weather channel and news. And I wouldn’t mind a quick show before bed or something. I don’t see us using it excessively so we will probably have it.

We have a TV in our room but the only time it ever gets used is when he’s out of town and I’m sleeping alone. It seems to help me fall asleep when I’m home alone, so I’ll turn the volume low and set the sleep timer.

Neither of us really care strongly either way. Currently, we have a small TV in the bedroom but it NEVER gets used.

I’ll have to admit that there are times where I am sleepy but not to the point where I can pass out. I would like to crawl into bed with a good movie and fall asleep that way. But I definitely prefer my TV-less bedroom!

I prefer a TV in the bedroom because I’ve always liked to put on the TV while i”m trying to fall asleep. I don’t think he cares either way because once he’s in bed, he’s out.

We only have one TV and it’s in the living room. I’m not averse to having a TV in the bedroom though I get the sense my fiance kind of is. But we have a large computer monitor that we hook up to the laptop and we watch so much TV in bed this way. Honestly, in this day and age, we’ve reached this convergence of screens everywhere and it doesn’t seem like a big deal to me either way.

We have a TV in the bedroom and a TV in the family room. When we watch TV together we watch downstairs. On nights that we want to watch something different I go upstairs to watch because I go to bed much earlier than him. I turn the TV off when I’m ready to go to bed and it doesn’t affect him at all.
