So now that I have actually started buying things and putting things together, my theoretical color scheme is not transpiring as I had original envisioned, and I like the new one better. What started out as navy and pink has morphed into the colors of old-timey TV.
So now I have black bridesmaids dresses, an ivory over champagne wedding gown, pale peach flowers, and white milk glass. I am trying to figure out how to make it all look intentional when I get down to the table decor. I am thinking about ivory/cream tablecloths with runners that are cream with white print and then white napkins.
Something like this for the runners (source Joann’s):
1) Do I need to tie the black in somewhere on the tables?
2) Will the difference between ivory tablecloths and white napkins be pronounced enough to look intentional or will it just look off? I also thought about doing something like an overlay in that fabric because I think a white napkin with white milk glass on it would look so fresh. Then, I could have a white tablecloth underneat, but that is a bit more expensive.
I’m open to suggestions on how best to combine these elements.
Thanks, bees! 🙂
