All I can say is “boys will be boys.” They think they’re funny….

Mine does the same thing, his jokes usually end up offending.

But, you know he loves you… boys are just annoying!

@badabing88:  Yeah sounds like something a guy would say lol. I totally hear you, though… depending on my mood, I sometimes take things my SO says as wrong as possible lol.

@badabing88: fuck that boys will be boys. you make yourself vulnerable and he totally rejected you. i’d be pissed and i think you have every reason to be. if you can’t feel confident being sexy for him, then it becomes oversized tshirts and no sexy attempts. he needs to realize that.

totally get why you would be a little upset. If sending sexy snaps isn’t normally something you do then It took lots of courage to do this. He then jokingly puts you down. That has to sting a bit. Its not worth spending too much time on but if he wants you to be open and comfortable with this sort of thing then he can’t be a smart arse in return.

Ugh that can be really annoying! But it goes to the old saying:
“Men communicate by insulting each other, but they don’t really mean it. Women communicate by complimenting each other, but they don’t really mean it either.”

I think he’s just comfortable enough around you (not just as his SO but as his friend) that he thinks he can get away with taking jabs like that and not thinking much of it. I’ve had to remind my SO a couple of times that even though we’re very close I’m still a WOMAN and I can be sensitive to those kind of jokes.

Also you could tell him if he keeps it up he shouldn’t expect anymore pics like that 😛

@badabing88:  I think from your previous posts it seems clear that you tend to joke around a lot in general, which is why we love you here and also probably one of the main reasons your guy loves you… I think the problem is that he needs to know that “sexy time” is different than “joke time.”

BUT ALSO, you recently posted about all the crazy sex you two have been having recently, so obviously he thinks you’re way sexy. Just tell him to save the jokes for after!!!

@mamadingdong:  +1.  I agree.  What a dumbass.  I would be pissed as hell.  What is he trying to imply?  It almost seems like he’s trying to undermine your self-confidence.  That is not cool.

@badabing88:  I think your post #10 response was perfect.

I don’t think you are overreacting if this is a constant thing. I would sit down and explain to him that the little “jokes” need to go or….well I’d personally stop dressing up for him.

@Sunfire:  I think it’s a big jump from making a bad joke to “trying to undermine her self-confidence”.

@laughs:  If it was only a one-time thing, maybe.  But she said he does this a lot.  And I agree with her, not funny.
