I had a previous post about my wedding dress that I had custom altered by a seamstress, and she made the back of the dress look crazy. So I got a new seemstress. The first two photos are of what the first seemstress did to my dress. And the third photo is of what the second seemstress has done to it. I realize that the romantic bustle/bubble hem look isn’t every bride’s taste, but for those brides who do like that style, can you please give me your opinion of the third photo… she has it pinned that way and is asking if she should sew it to finish it. What do you think? Do you think any other changes need to be made? Thank you all for your responses 🙂

The top bubble looks messed up

The third picture is better than the first two BUT I still don’t think it looks quite right. Can the seamstress make the top “bubble” lay similarly to the middle “bubble?” Right now, the top bubble doesn’t look evenly distributed (it appears tucked under on the right side).
What was your initial problem that you took it to a seamstress in the first place?

I was having it altered to have a longer train and some bustles. In the third pic, the top bustle is like that because of how the skirt material is draped on the dress to begin with. It’s kind of asymetrical.

What would make it better for you? That’s what you should tell the seamstress. Don’t worry about what we think 😉

That’s the thing, I’m not sure what to change about it. That’s why I’m tryig to get second opinions/advice.

Is the top bubble supposed to be less symmetrical than the other bubbles? Maybe it needs to be more symmetrical. That’s the one that looks off to me.

Are you basing this off a certain dress design?
Have you thought about your bustle too? (if you’re doing one).
