Wondering if this happened to anyone else! A friend of ours tried to invite herself and some others back to our room on the wedding night to hang out (it was a destination wedding). Our other friends looked at her like she was crazy, but she was like, “What’s the big deal? What are you going to do anyway? It’s just like any other night.” My husband and I still laugh about this because obviously even if we weren’t planning to have sex it’s inappropriate to invite yourself back to the newlywed couples room.

My maid of honor kept calling me and made me let her in the room… she wanted to complain about the best man stealing her leftover piece of cake and she said she needed help unzipping her dress. I unzipped the dress, offered my condolences regarding the cake, and sent her away! (I did all this wearing a towel, because I had been in the middle of taking a bath so I wasn’t all sweaty and gross for my husband!)

My Fiance and I got a room in a different hotel than all of our guests for the reason. Hoping no ones finds us!! 😉

Our wedding was at a bed & breakfast and the entire wedding party was staying there. Once we decided we were done hanging out with people for the night, we went back to our room. While he was helping me out of my dress, one of my sisters walked in (all of the girls had gotten ready in my room that morning so she was trying to grab something she had left in there). She didn’t mean to walk in on us though – she thought we were still hanging out in one of the other rooms. I think she felt super awkward and left quickly. We locked the door after that and didn’t have any other problems.

Hell hath no fury someone trying to interupt me and my FH on our wedding night!
My wedding to ex-H no one interupted, but nothing happened! He ate some leftover pizza and had a tummy ache so the night consisted of me rubbing his tummy and listening to scare noises coming from the hotel bathroom..

When our wedding ended we went to the newlywed suite. It was just us and I got a text from my Maid/Matron of Honor saying she needed to grab her bag, she didn’t get a chance to drop it in her room and I said, no worries, come get it, I was still in my dress, just started to unlace the corset. She comes and here comes her boyfriend and our other friend’s boyfriend behind her and at this point I’m in my underwear. She looks at me and said I tried to lose them…they followed me. Rare that guests get to see the bride in her undergarments on the wedding night.

We had no crashers. We told maybe two people in the family where we even were, in case of emergency. No way would any of our friends have considered crashing us. It was our wedding night, both literally and figuratively.
Now, I do recall some church friends who came back down from the honeymoon suite after simply changing into street clothes so that they could visit with their loved ones who traveled so far. Their response to our incredulous faces? “We have all our lives to consumate our marriage and love on each other, while we only have until tomorrow to visit with you.”
