I am now 9 months away from my wedding and I had my first nightmare last night. It was very traumatic…for me and my dog. Neither of us got a full night’s rest.
In my dream it was THE BIG DAY and it was a disaster! For starters, no one could find my veil or my shoes and anyone I asked to find it was either refusing to listen or DRUNK! Seriously, drunk! Then I found out someone had failed to pick up my dog (she’s in the wedding). Holy drama and freaked out bride! Somehow, we got 2.5 hours behind schedule and guests started leaving because they were sick of waiting. Everywhere I looked things were falling apart. I kept yelling at people to help and figure out what was going on, but no one was listening…still. Well, I must have actually been yelling out loud in my sleep because I woke up several times with my darling little dog staring me in the face. Poor girl, she thinks I’ve gone mad.
It appears to me that the stress of the wedding planning is getting to me more than I realized. Now that I am aware of it, I need to take a step back and breathe. I have started working out and think I will add some relaxation exercises while I’m at it. Maybe writing to the hive will help…

LOL! I am starting to have panic nightmares too. I keep dreaming that there is NO food!! I think its because I have not finalized a caterer. I just started running again and hope it will help relieve the stress.

haha, my first dream was about no veil and shoes too! My mom forgot to buy one so my aunt put a bunch of kleenex together and told me to wear that. And for some reason the only shoes I had were my black work shoes that I wear on dates I wear long pants. Also most of my BM’s forgot their dresses and had to wear a uniform. It was pretty weird. I will say it makes me motivated though to get things done!

Think of Freud… maybe you are worried that no one is listening to you now…
I had one nightmare where I had no invitations sent on the day of the wedding and another where I got confused about where my reception was and ended up at someone else’s bar mitzvah.

lol..I remember those.. I used to dream that everyone slept in an missed it!
I think the only thing that possibly helps is get organised. Write down ideas and when you plan to do things. This helps me feel relaxed.

I’ve had a bunch of wedding nightmares!!! Something always goes wrong – no make up, horrible hair, officiant is wearing jeans and a baseball cap, no musicians. Everything. Once I dreamed that I forgot to send out invitations and the only person that came was my mother.
