I opened up the Wall Street Journal today and found this little gem:
And not only did I read a few notable phrases aloud to the general amusement of my parents, but I consistently uttered, teenerger-like, “wowwwwwww, MAN this guy dumb.” What I really mean, of course, is that the author’s concept of the evil cupcake somehow infringing on his masculinity and America’s ability to stand as a great nation is a stultifying combination of idiocy, blatent ignorance, and hilarity. Clearly, this guy ain’t no cupcake himself.
Thoughts, ladies? Defend your right to serve yummy, palm-sized portions of deliciousness! Cry foul on his abuse of bakeries!

all I know is that this guy clearly isn’t intelligent enough to write a story on actual, real events happening, so he takes a stab at the cupcake, the innocent, just trying to make everybody happy cupcake. Dude, you kicked the puppy, not cool.
Long live the cupcake and all it’s mini cake goodness.

I am doing cupcakes for my wedding! I have never had a peice of cake from any wedding I have went to. I remember the cutting of it but not the actual cake being served, But with cupcakes, no cutting or being served required. They will be out on the midnight buffet for everyone to deserve, They also let you have a variety of flavours instead of it depending on the amount of teirs.

I like cupcakes! I hope people send in cupcakes as some kind of petition against the cupcake hating man!

@Blue-Bird: I briefly considered sending cupcakes c/o his name to his office. Then I realized that he wouldn’t eat them, and that it would be a terrible waste of perfectly yummy food 😀

I still fully plan on having cupcakes at my wedding. Luckily for him, he is not invited. 🙂

It was, at the very least, an extremely clever article!

I luv WSJ but sometimes the articles really miss the point.
I’m having cupcakes because I personally don’t like sweets but will eat a cupcake occassionally. My Fiance of course wanted NY Cheesecake which I love as well but not in the budget. So, we’re having 3-4 different cupcake flavors so that our guest can enjoy more than just a wedding cake that no one will really enjoy.

@TheRookieYear: Yes, thank goodness he won’t have to suffer through your (probably amazing and delicious) cupcake dessert! ;D
