    @Goldie19: Love it! I knew that I recognized that cake! Are you from NH? We are getting our cake from that same shop.  We are getting married in the fall but aren’t a big fan of fall colors so we chose their birch tree cake so it could still be in theme:

    @Goldie19: Thanks! We have had our tasting.  It was so much fun!

    We went with 3 different flavors.  The bottom layer is going to be white cake with raspberry preserves, and chocolate truffle.  2nd layer will be lemon cake with strawberry preserves, 3rd layer, chocolate cake with black cherry buttercream, our top layer will be the same as the first.

    @Goldie19:  I think it is a cute idea!  If it fits both of your personalities and you love it you should go for it!

    Edit:  Sorry I got so excited by the cute mario cake that I didn’t scroll down to where you posted the other cakes yet.  That blue one is absolutely gorgeous!
