HI bees, so my Mother-In-Law already booked a venue because she was allowed to book for free. I worried today that the Country Club (where they play golf) might limit my options for decorations… I remember that it has some dark carpets and I worry that the elegant theme I think of might not fit in there. I love tile/orange theme so I wonder if I have a reception in this county club, then should I follow some theme, or I can try to bring as much accessories to decorate the inside the way I like.

I think a good theme is “wedding.” No other theme necessary.

@inspiration86: It would be easier to give an opinion with pics. Do you have any?
Overall, I think brides tend to worry too much about the venue and the theme. You can make most any theme work most anywhere.

No theme…just go for wedding colors that you and your Fiance like. When you look at your pictures, I doubt you’ll be wondering why you didn’t match with the room’s colors.

Thanks! I just decided on peach/coral-mint colors…. Hope the Fiance wil agree. I think the venue has dark colors but you are right, I will go with the colors we (I) like.

@inspiration86: i had my wedding at a country club too. honestly, i don’t even remember the colour of their carpet. i believe it was dark.
if your country club keeps their property up to date, which mine does, it should be somewhat neutral. pick the colours that you want, i’m sure you will be fine.
