Where, oh where, to start. I got on the ball when first engaged and I think I have all my basics nailed down, site, venue, DJ, food, photography.
And then all the questions came about what my colors are and wwhat my theme’s going to be. Well I don’t know. My pinterest suggests I would like a rustic/burlapy (not a word) wedding and, I would. But it’s so trendy!! Will I look back and wonder why I wanted to feel in a barn on my wedding day!?!
Things I can’t ignore…I’m leaning toward soft pinks and green (talk about trendy). I like the idea of tan suits (khaki, not beige). I have some old white window panes I’d like to incorporate somewhere. I’ve already purchased enough white ikea lanterns and white candle scrolls to decorate half the tables (my thought is half florals half candles to cut costs).
But now what? Do I head into the world of twine and burlap or try to stay on the edge somewhere in a “garden”? Oh, and meanwhile trying to be as budget-conscious as absolutely possible.
Speaking of, these long rectangular tables of mine (come with the venue) are shouting “MORE EXPENSIVE” to me. Which seems more low cost: bud vases all down the center or maybe two centerpieces on each end??
Can you tell I’ve never gotten married before?
