so just a quick question. We’re doing a peacock colour theme, but with a felt and button twist.
My bouquet is going to be felt and buttons (not yet made), my bridesmaid’s bouquet ball is similar; felt and buttons, as in the pic. And there’s a button on our invites:
Now…. I said to my Fiance that I wanted to put buttons around our chalkboard, and use it in our photo timeline we’re doing…. but also use it as decor or photo prop on the wedding day.
He says…. I don’t think you should buttons on it, that’s too many buttons.
Now I’m not one to take wedding / DIY / theme advice from a man…. but does he have a point?
I don’t have a pic of my idea, but imagine if these two had a baby

I am fan of buttons, and there will be a lot of them at my wedding too– I’m hand sewing flowers, and the center of each will be a vintage button, these will be attached to the napkin rings, as well as placed in the table arrangements– so I might not be the best one to ask…
But I say go for it!

Personally, yes, I think he has a point. Plus it’s HIS wedding too – have you ever thought that maybe he’s feeling a little weird about so many clearly feminine touches? Just a thought!

I don’t peacocks and buttons really go together that well.

Personally, I think it’s a bit much but I think you should do whatever you (and your FI) thinks is best

@juliette.eliza: Clearly your advise is THROUGHLY biased, and I love it!! hehe thanks! 🙂
@KristenGotMarried: Yes I do see your point…. but he is getting his touch on things I promise!! Que bouts made of guitar plectrums…. 🙂

If what you have shown so far is all you’ve made, then I think you can afford to add a little more.
I thought I was going to go overboard with this one fabric I was using for everything (favor tops, name cards, table numbers)…and then when I got to the venue, it looked just right. Our room was really big, and what I thought was “too much” was really “just enough”. If you have a big venue, the little details can get swallowed up, so I think you can add more buttons.
