I’m new to posting in this blog but have been glued to it for months. Now that were getting going on planning, I thought I would introduce myself on the boards. So, our wedding date is set for May 22, 2010 and we are SOOOO excited! We have started planning the main/basic stuff but could use a little (or maybe a lot) of help on the details.
We are laid back, country people (from WI) at heart and would like our wedding to reflect that. We’re having a indoor wedding and an outdoor reception on family land with a tent, leaning towards a rustic theme. We know the main color is going to be green and we are trying to incorporate a dandelion theme. There will also be games, yard games, and a candy buffet. I have attached pics to show you my starting points and would really love any ideas.

Hello MissDandelion!! Welcome to Weddingbee!! Your theme sounds pretty similar to our wedding (rustic, outdoorsy, green) – although we did a lot of daisies, as opposed to dandelions. Feel free to check out my blog for pictures and ask any questions! Welcome again!! You’re going to love it here.

Welcome Miss Dandelion! I like your dandelion theme idea, I think it sounds really different. You could even play on the dandelion idea since they turn into wishes and incorporate that into the wedding (maybe like a play on words or something)
I used google a lot with my wedding ideas looking up images and I looked at other bees’ blogs. Etsy has everything–just type in dandelion and it has TONS of stuff.
I like the piece of stationary you have on the 4th pick.

Thank you soooo much for all of your help ladies!!! Those are really great ideas. I will post more stuff as we go.

I love the stationary! I know Hobby Lobby has a really cool Dandelion stamp you might have occasion to use.

I really like the last picture. On Shutterfly they have that as a template for their books and I’d love to incorporate that into an albulm. I think you have some really good ideas so far. Check out Mrs Cherry Pie’s postings, she really did a cute country wedding.

SM-THANK YOU!!! I have been looking for a cute one everywhere!!!
Snowflake- Thanks!!! Me too 🙂 I will check that out.
The vases pic doesn’t do it justice. My mom found them at a thrift store the day after we told her our theme idea=we have to use them somewhere (there are only two) and it was kinda ironic. Are they really bad?
