@sostobe:  we’re not having a theme really, just many different things that we like, held together by the color scheme. I think it’s working so far!

We aren’t really having a theme either. Early on in our planning process I was already tired of all the pinterest pins of weddings with themes out the wazoo. After a while it can start to get a little ridiculous.

However, I did want some personal touches and through that a few common threads started to emerge…music and food. You will see elements of both in the wedding but not EVERYWHERE you look.

In terms of our colour scheme, its fairly broad (as opposed to only two-three colours). This all stemmed from the bouquet in my profile picture. I fell in love with it in the first month of wedding planning (November 2012) and have yet to find something I like more.

Themes will emerge as you move along and things will come to you over time….and if they don’t, don’t sweat it because the theme can be WEDDING Laughing

No theme as such, kind of summery (it’ll be the end of summer where I live). Our colours are an aqua-y blue, a teal green and pops of yellow

@sostobe:  No theme for us either.  We originally were thinking of a vintage library theme, but it just got too complicated and expensive.  Instead we’re just going for understated elegance with lots of candles.  We want a romantic, intimate vibe rather than a full-out theme.

We’re not having a “theme” per se either, but all the colors are going to be in the “soft neutrals” family.

Which is a problem, because no one knows what the hell I mean by that.

Light colors, creams and ivorys and light tans is what I mean.  With silver whenever something calls for a metalic color.  And lavender flowers so that they stand out.

That’s the closest thing to a theme we have.

In February we are having our small wedding ceremony with our pastor officiant, and in May we are having the celebration with family and friends. The theme for February is minimalist. We’re still having cake though :). It will also be Presidents Day, so maybe the secondary theme is Presidents.

If I had to label our theme, Contemporary Romance?  Blush, Ivory and Grey with hints of Dusty Rose and Silver.  I’m excited for it to all come together! Less than 6 months to go and I’ve only been planning a little over a month. Eek!
