Okay girls, I’ve been giving a little thought to what I’d like my overall theme to be for my wedding. I LOVE the idea of a rustic look, and plan on having a garden/wooded wedding with a lot of greenery and white floral pops. But, I also have a huge love of literature. I was wondering what kind of wonderful literature based themes you girlies have heard of or seen?! pictures are definitely appreciated.
I had kind of thought of doing little paper flower arrangements made out of pages from my favorite books – but that would involve destroying a couple of my favorite books and that may just break my fragile little heart….
let’s hear some ideas !! :]

I love the idea of a rustic wedding with elements of books!
In addition to paper flowers here are a few other unique ideas that I found that still have a rustic feel.
Use old books as table numbers (imagine if the book was upright with a table number on it:)
Use vintage card catalog for escort cards:
Instead of paper signs or chalkboard signs for bar, food, guestbook, etc. You can use books to spell out signs like this:
Instead of a ring pillow, use a book:

@mrsstobee: Maybe a Jane Austen novel type of wedding like something out of Pride and Prejudice? Don’t know how that would fit in with the whole rustic look.

@mrsstobee: If you don’t want to destroy some of your books, go to goodwill and pick up some old, already damaged copies. Then you are recycling old books 🙂

@AnnieAAA: …i am so glad that i posted this because your reply is AMAZING. it’s exactly the look i am shooting for!! it’s beautiful!!!
@zackmarriesamber: that’s also a really good idea! i’m definitely attached to my books and the copies i’ve purchased are ones that i plan on saving for my children to read (they were “life changers”). plus it’s probably an even better way to get that battered & used rustic look :] perfect!!!
