It was before a lot of peoples time, and until the movie came out when I was in middle school I think, I had never heard of it. I think the film brought it back, it’s not something most people would learn in a history book as other more important world events took place. I honestly don’t get the stories and shock about it. Shrugs

When that cruise ship ran aground a few months ago, I remember watching some news channel and the caption at the bottom of the screen was something like ‘Real-life Titanic–Cruise Ship Tragedy’. Real-life? News flash! The Titanic was real life! I couldn’t believe it.

uhm like hello?! of course it was, they had to build it to shoot the movie on!! The name is right there on it in some of the scenes lol!!!
