I planned on doing accordian style invitations so I ordered some of the paper that I would need to DIY them.
The paper that I ordered, I was having custom cut so that I wouldn’t have to do it myself.
This morning, it just dawned on me that I only ordered enough paper to do half of the project. While I was looking at the website, I also realized that the paper that I ordered was the wrong paper thickness (32lb) all because I wasn’t paying attention when I ordered it.
Now, I’m going to have 190+ pieces of purple metallic paper that’s practically too thin to do anything with.

Ah, the joys of DIY… Sorry for your troubles, but better luck with the next try!

Could you turn them into programs instead? Or cut them up even smaller yourself for escort cards? Turn them into some sort of decor for your reception?

Unfortunately, escort cards wouldn’t fare very well with the type of wedding that I’m having. Most of my guests are very use to open seating.

What about using them as some type of decor?

Ugh, that’s DIY for you.
What about turning them into menus?
well, if you can’t repurpose them, you could always try selling…
Post # 12
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions!!!
I’ve thought about using them as menus, but I’m not sure as I’m already using purple napkins. My colors are burgundy, teal blue, plum, and gray. And the purple was only suppose to be a highlight. I’m afraid that more purple might make the decor look even more rich than it already it is.
Using them as programs might not be a bad idea. I have to figure out if I can get silver to print on the paper as the paper is purple and any other color wouldn’t show up.
If all else fails, I guess I can try to sell them.

You may be able to print a menu or program on a lighter color paper and use the ones that you just bought as a mat?

The classified section here constantly has people purchasing paper and prle seems to be a popular color! You may not get all the money back, but you will get some and help someone else at the same time!
Also, Yyou can always have 2 different sets/colors of invites. I know most people throw them right out, only very close family will save them. For those people you send what you consider your best ones!! Good luck….don’t let it gt you down
