My mother wants me to have everyone elses wedding. “So-and-so did this at their wedding, you should to!”. From the hall that one person had, to the photographer my brother had, borrowing decor from a friend of a cousin, and cupcakes, oh lordy the cupcakes. Lord help me if she says cupcakes one more time…
“<name>’s niece had a cupcake tower – we should do that” and then “go click on the last person who posted on blanks’s wall. They went to a wedding last weekend and the person had cupcakes” (yes, you read right. she is stalking friends of friends on facebook for cupcakes!) and “Last weekend <name> went to a wedding and they had cupcakes in boxes on the table as favors – you should price up the boxes and get back to me”…
I already told her, cupcakes are the backup plan if I completely fubar making my cake – which I don’t intend to do!!
She just got back from a wedding about an hour ago – was already on FB messaging me everything they had and did and how there were cakes on every table and “what if we had raised trays of cupcakes on each table?”. She will not stop. I swear, I’m going to have nightmares of cupcakes attacking me in my sleep…

OMG, my dad is totally doing that to me about a candy bar. He wants me to do a candy bar so bad he can taste it. I am not having a candy bar, but I did buy him mini cany jars at Hobby Lobby. I am going to give him his own little candy bar. Hopefully it will make him happy. Maybe you could get her, her own boxed cupcake and put it at her seat.

My mom was like this with the shoe game. My cousin had it at her wedding and she just would not stop about it. I’d be like, hmm I don’t think I want too many speeches. How about the shoe game? I’m really hoping to get something going to get people dancing. “How about the shoe game?” (how that’s related to dancing I don’t know.)
Sure enough, just before our first dance, out came the chairs and SURPRISE! The shoe game.
