So sorry you’re going through this – do you have any family or friends you can turn to (besides weddingbee?)  – I hope you have someone/a group, that you can turn to in real life that can help you through this.

Keeping your husband in my thoughts.

I am so, so sorry. I wish there were words out there that could lessen your pain and heartbreak, but I know there isn’t. Just know that there are many people out there thinking of you and your DH. We’re here whenever you need to talk.

I’m not even sure how to respond to your post Mrs. Macintosh. That is so sad and tragic, I am not even sure how to react, and I can’t imagine how you are coping. I agree with PP, there is a chance he could come through this. The human body is an amazing thing, and it can come through trama like this. Encourage your husband, Love on him and talk to him, stay positive. I am sending my thoughts your way.

@Macintosh:  i want so share with you something that happened the other day and i hope it gives you some comfort.

my husband and i got a call from a friend of our’s asking us to come pray for his future mother-in-law because she had been hit by a pickup truck while crossing the road.

we got to the hospital, and she was in critical condition. there was bleeding and swelling on her brain. her eyes were so swollen; doctors said, if she even lives, she will be blind. she was in a coma and not breathing on her own. the doctors told her husband that she had a very slim chance of living; let alone a normal life.

this was two nights ago.

we got the chance to talk to her daughters. they were heartbroken. i told them to have hope and believe that she will be ok… to ignore what they’re seeing laying in the hospital bed and to picture their mom the way they know her to be.

yesterday we get a call saying that the bleeding has stopped and swelling is completely gone. her eye is perfectly fine, she is coming in and out of consciousness and breathing on her own. the doctors expect full recovery in just a few days.

my point is that like PP’s said; prayers and positive thoughts can go so much farther than some people even understand.

stay strong, believe that he is going to come out of this, and try to get some rest.

i am praying for your beautiful family.

Oh my God  @Macintosh. My heart sank when I read the title of this thread. Then when I realized it was written by you tears sprung to my eyes. I feel like I’ve gotten to know you and your DH through this whole ttc process. I am at a loss for words and I’m sure nothing I say could even begin to heal your heart. Please just know that we are all here for you. You and your DH are in my thoughts and prayers. xoxoxo
