So my fiance found the dress she loved to death, and found out it was $4000.00. Well, she happened to come along this website called AKA perimart.com, and she found the dress on there at the unbelievable price. The customer service was great. But then we ordered it, the date was January 16th, 2009. It is now March 18th, 2009. Well past the 25 and even the 35 day lead time they quoted us when we ordered. Oh, and the fabled Chinese holiday that is a week long in China, still puts the delivery date well before today. So naturally, I’ve contacted them several times via the website contact form, their online chat for, the paypal email account, and even the webmaster email account. I have attempted contact for 2 weeks now, with both of their websites, and no luck. I have also attempted to call both numbers they have on their website, but no one picks up on one, and the other is a busy signal. I will post this on every wedding forum there is to put this place out of business. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NOT DELIVER!

Im so sorry to hear that happened to your fiance. You mentioned that they had a paypal email account – can you dispute the charge via paypal (if you paid through them)? They are very helpful in these situations and if the business does not respond to their inquiry questioning everything they will refund your money.

I tried paypal, without getting my bank involved, Paypal said the transaction is too far out for paypal to get involved. Which doesn’t make sense to me, but i will just call my bank to charge back, that will get paypal’s attention.

I definitely can’t speak for everyone, but in my experience PayPal has been majorly unhelpful in dispute situations. I had a dispute with a seller in the U.S. and tried to go through PayPal’s dispute process. They gave me weeks of runaround and excuses before finally telling me they were closing my claim. I ended up having to reverse the charges through my credit card company. I’ve heard similar stories from other folks. Because of this I refuse to do business with PayPal (or through them) again.
It might be best to get your bank involved if you can. So sorry this happened and best of luck to you!

I am so sorry you got screwed over. I have read so many similar stories about online ordering gone bad and paypal not offering any support and/or resolutions… which is also why I FEAR ordering from the internet.
I do hope that you can work this out with your bank… I would do the same just to get paypal’s attention. Keep us posted.

I haven’t had the problem you’re describing, but I have disputed something with paypal and it took about a week (maybe a bit over) to finalize and get my money refunded. I also have disputed things on my credit card and that is easy peasy to get taken care of. So at least be assured that you have routes to get your money back. Though I wish I had advice for the dress!
