I have this hair type, and I kept my hair short (shorter hair = more volume) and asked for a bouffant.

I had 9 clip in extensions for my wedding day. I bought a nice set off Ebay and gave them to my hair stylist and this is what she did!

I have thin long hair and decided on having extensions.  I bought real human hair extensions on ebay and had my stylist design a sleek no- maintenance bun.

I have very thin, very fine hair. At my dads wedding, the stylist did this, with no clip in extensions. She curled the whole head and then pinned it up.

im not 100% sure, but she made me look like I had so much hair! I would just talk to a stylist about your concerns,  and she what ideas he/she may have!

Kimmypossible:  I have thin, shoulder-length hair and used extensions which made a world of difference to what would have been possible with my hair without them!  I got them ahead of time and my hair stylist matched my color to the extensions.  My hair stylist told me to wash and blow dry them prior, which poofed them up a bit so they looked more natural (they were real anyway, but came out of the package super sleek which wasn’t my type of hair.)

If you’re doing an updo, would you consider buying hair clip ins? It’ll make your hair look more volumous.

These are beautiful pics ladies!  I’m amazed.  I also have thin fine hair.  I’ve never had extensions – any tips for picking them out?

Only real human hair.  Don’t be tempted to buy cheap fake hair,  cause you can’t curl it.  I did some research on ebay and bought real human hair in clip-  in strips of different widths. It’s sold by weight,  mine was 100 grams.   You don’t need super long hair,  only 15 inches.  I bought 20 inches and it was too long,  the stylist had difficulty handling the extra length.  Plus it’s alot more expensive,  the longer it is.  I paid about $55 for mine.  The color was “dark brown” and it accidentally completely matched my own hair,  so i didn’t need to color anything.

I would see if you could find a stylist who uses the Sam Villa texture iron. I use it with brides and for up dos. It can triple the volume of your hair. It is amazing. It is even an iron you can purchase yourself at Ulta. It is an amazing tool. I have a lot of hair but fine. I use it throughout my crown at my root. Have your stylist research it for Updos. It makes your options so much more!
